Traffic Court Video Retrieval & Cataloging Clerk Location: Remote Computer Work Type: Part-time/contract (flexible hours) Reports to: Lead Attorney About the Role A law practice is looking for a detail-oriented, reliable person to obtain, download, and organize traffic-related court videos and records from courts in and around Harris County. This includes municipal (city) courts, Justice of the Peace (JP) courts, and courts in the counties bordering Harris County (Montgomery, Liberty, Chambers, Galveston, Brazoria, Fort Bend, and Waller). The lead attorney will personally train you on the exact process — which portals to use, how to log in, what to download, and how each file should be labeled and stored. No prior legal experience is required. What matters most is that you are dependable, careful with details, and comfortable following a repeatable system exactly. What You'll Do • Log in to the various court websites and online portals to access traffic case videos and related records. • Download the correct video files and documents for each assigned case or court. • Catalog each file accurately — naming, tagging, and recording case details so everything can be found quickly later. • Organize downloaded materials into the firm's folder and filing system, keeping it clean and consistent. • Keep a running log of what has been retrieved, from which court, and on what date. • Clean out old videos and documents on old cases • Help Lead Attorney as needed under her direction What We're Looking For • Strong attention to detail — file names, case numbers, and dates need to be exactly right. • Organized and consistent, able to follow a naming and filing system without cutting corners. • Comfortable navigating websites, logging in to online portals, and downloading and saving files. • Reliable and self-directed — someone who can be handed a list and get it done. • Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive legal materials. Required HIGH-SPEED DATA CONNECTION RELIABLE WINDOWS 11 COMPUTER Nice to Have (Not Required) • Prior experience with court records, legal support, paralegal, or records/data-entry work. Details • Schedule: Flexible; hours based on case volume. • Training: Provided directly by the lead attorney.
