Summary

Mission Clean Energy is seeking a Transmission & Interconnection Analyst or Engineer to help manage and optimize the interconnection process for our growing portfolio of renewable energy and storage projects. In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Interconnect Engineer and external consultants to navigate regulatory environments, manage technical studies, and develop strategic interconnection plans. We are looking for an analytical, organized, and proactive individual who can translate complex technical data into actionable business insights. Key Responsibilities: - Manage Interconnection Lifecycle: Track project statuses, deadlines, and milestones nationwide. - Technical Oversight: Collaborate with external consultants on interconnection applications, modeling, and powerflow analysis. - Strategic Planning: Identify interconnection opportunities and optimize project timing based on transmission upgrades and market policy. - Process Management: Monitor RTO/ISO tariffs and policy changes, ensuring compliance and efficiency in our internal workflows. - Communication: Synthesize complex interconnection data into clear updates for the development team and leadership. - Collaboration: Represent the company in stakeholder/market meetings and coordinate internal agreements. Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred). - 1–3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, specifically with interconnection and transmission planning. - Solid understanding of RTO/ISO tariffs, business practices, and technical standards. - Experience interpreting powerflow analysis (Powerworld Simulator or similar) is a plus. - Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and adjust quickly to market changes. - Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and a self-motivated
