I'm building thought leadership on X around digital patient twins, healthcare, and the broader life sciences ecosystem. I'm hiring a writer whose main job is to engage in the conversation where it's already happening not to broadcast into the void. The primary work is writing high-signal replies under scientific journals, researchers, journalists, and key voices in health science. Nature, NEJM, JAMA, The Lancet, Science, STAT, Endpoints, BioPharma Dive, Eric Topol, Derek Lowe, Adam Feuerstein, FDA accounts, and so on. The goal is to add real value to the thread a clarifying point, a contrarian read, a buried detail from the methods section not generic agreement. What you'll actually do Monitor ~100 target accounts daily (journals, researchers, regulators, journalists, biotech operators) and surface 10–15 conversations worth replying to Draft 10-20 reply candidates per day in my voice for me to approve Pitch and draft 1–2 original threads per week on topics from the list below Keep a running doc of what landed, what didn't, and why Flag emerging stories (FDA decisions, paper drops, policy moves) I should weigh in on within hours, not daysWhat you'll actually do Topic territory we deliberately roam wide You'll need real fluency, or willingness to develop it fast, across: Regulatory & policy: FDA/EMA approvals, accelerated approval pathways, drug pricing, PBMs, patent cliffs, generics, ACIP recommendations, vaccine policy How the sausage is made: trial design, endpoints, randomization, placebo ethics, biostatistics literacy (p-values, CIs, why "significant" ≠ meaningful), preprints vs. peer review, publication bias, replication Industry & business: biotech earnings, M&A, IPOs, CRO operations, drug pricing economics, orphan drug incentives Public health & misinformation: epidemiology basics, outbreak tracking, evaluating health claims with receipts History & ethics: Thalidomide, Tuskegee, Henrietta Lacks, the origins of IRBs and informed consent narrative threads with a substantive point Tech crossover: AI in drug discovery, real-world evidence, wearables, decentralized trials, bioinformatics, digital twins Patient-facing: trial recruitment, informed consent in practice, patient advocacy, how to read your own data The point of the breadth is to avoid getting stuck in a single niche loop. Replies on regulatory policy in the morning, history thread in the afternoon, biostats explainer in the evening. You're a fit if You can read a paper in NEJM or Nature Medicine and pull out something most people in the replies missed Your own X account is alive and you can show me 5–10 of your best replies or threads on science/health topics You have a background in one of: medicine, biology, public health, biostatistics, health policy, science journalism, biotech/pharma, regulatory affairs, or a related field You can write a Bradford Hill explainer and a Tuskegee thread with equal care You know the difference between odds ratios and relative risk and why it matters You can match a voice I'll share samples and you'll calibrate You're not a fit if You're a generalist social media manager looking to add "healthcare" to your portfolio You need topics explained before you can write about them Your idea of engagement is "Great point!" or emoji replies You can't show me your own writing on these topics You're going to outsource this to ChatGPT (I use AI tools too I'll know) How to apply Three things, in this order. Applications missing any of them won't be reviewed. A link to your X account and 3–5 specific replies or threads you've written that you're proud of, with one sentence each on why A paid trial period (I'll pay for this regardless of whether we move forward): pick any tweet posted in the last 72 hours by Nature, NEJM, The Lancet, or STAT News, and write the reply you'd post under it as me. Include a one-paragraph note on why you chose that thread and what you're trying to accomplish with the reply.
