About Us We are a Charlotte, NC based agency that is a hands-on partner for small to medium sized businesses, covering project management, operations management, creative, and technical execution. What You'll Do: - Own day-to-day bookkeeping: record transactions, categorize expenses, and keep the books clean and current. - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, bill pay, and following up on outstanding balances. - Perform monthly reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms. - Close the books monthly and prepare clear, accurate financial statements. - Track and organize records for the organization, keeping everything audit-ready. - Prepare reports that give leadership a clear picture of cash flow, margins, and financial health. - Support 1099 preparation, contractor payment tracking, and year-end filing readiness. - Partner with leadership on budgets, forecasting, and general financial questions as they come up. - Flag issues, discrepancies, or anything that looks off before it becomes a problem. What We're Looking For: - 3+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience. - Strong hands-on expertise in QuickBooks Online. - Solid grasp of full-cycle bookkeeping: AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close. - Fanatical Attention to detail, organized, and accurate. - A reliable communicator who can work independently and hit deadlines without close supervision. Nice to Have: - Experience supporting agencies or service-based businesses - Familiarity with payroll and benefits coordination - Experience with tools like Gusto, Paypal, Wise, etc. - Payroll and light HR-adjacent admin experience Key Details This is a contract engagement to start, ongoing in nature, with strong potential for retainer work for the right person.
