USA Patent Attorney

Seeking: US Patent Attorney We are looking for a qualified Patent Attorney to assist with US patent matters. The attorney must be registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) — this means passing the USPTO's registration exam (the "patent bar"), which requires a technical/scientific background (engineering, computer science, chemistry, biology, physics, etc.) in addition to a law degree. Key requirement: The attorney does not need to be physically based in the US. USPTO registration is not tied to residency — many registered patent attorneys/agents practice from outside the US, provided they are licensed to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction (for attorneys) or hold USPTO patent agent registration (non-attorneys), and remain current on US patent law, including America Invents Act (AIA) provisions, prosecution procedure, and any relevant international filing routes (e.g., PCT). Scope of work may include: Drafting and filing patent applications (provisional/non-provisional/PCT) Responding to USPTO Office Actions Conducting prior art/patentability searches Advising on patentability, claims strategy, and freedom-to-operate Managing prosecution timelines and USPTO correspondence IP portfolio strategy and international filing coordination Ideal candidate: Active USPTO registration number (verifiable via the USPTO's Registered Patent Attorney/Agent database) Licensed to practice law in a US state (for attorney status, vs. patent agent) Track record of successful prosecution/allowance rates
