EU & USA Product Compliance Expert – Product Testing, Packaging & Regulatory Compliance

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Product Regulatory Compliance Expert to take full ownership of reviewing our product catalog and making sure our products are fully compliant for sale in both the European Union and United States. This is not a consulting-only position. We are looking for someone who can identify what is required and then manage the entire compliance process from start to finish. Responsibilities * Review each product/SKU individually and determine all applicable EU and U.S. compliance requirements. * Identify required regulations, certifications, testing, labeling, warnings, documentation and packaging requirements. * Have strong knowledge of EU GPSR, REACH, CE/RoHS/WEEE where applicable, EU packaging/EPR requirements, and relevant U.S. consumer-product regulations. * Determine exactly which laboratory tests are required for each product. * Work directly with testing laboratories: obtain quotes, arrange testing, follow up, review results and resolve outstanding issues. * Work with our factories/suppliers to obtain required test reports, declarations, material information and compliance documents. * Review our product packaging, labels, warnings, manuals and inserts. * Give our design team clear instructions regarding required wording, warnings, symbols and other packaging changes. * Help manage EU Responsible Person and traceability requirements where applicable. * Create and maintain an organized compliance file for every product containing all required reports and documentation. * Make sure products are prepared for compliance requests from marketplaces such as Amazon, Zooplus and other EU/U.S. retailers and marketplaces. * Follow up on every outstanding item until the product is fully ready for sale. Who We Are Looking For We want someone who is very hands-on and takes ownership. We do not want someone who simply reviews our products and sends us a list of recommendations. We need someone who will tell us what is required, coordinate with the appropriate parties, follow up on each task, and help bring every product through to completion. You should have significant experience with consumer-product compliance in both the EU and USA, including working with manufacturers, testing laboratories, packaging/design teams and compliance documentation.
