Summary

🔍 WEBSITE QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST – MONTHLY WEBSITE REVIEWS We are a digital marketing agency managing multiple client websites, and we are looking for a highly detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable Website Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team long-term. ⚠️ This is NOT simply a “check if the website is online” position. We need someone WITH A STRONG COMMAND OF AMERICAN ENGLISH, who is naturally very observant, understands websites, notices small inconsistencies, tests functionality, and proactively identifies anything that could negatively affect: • 👀 User experience • 📞 Conversions and leads • 🔎 SEO • 📱 Mobile usability • 💻 Website functionality • 🎨 Professional appearance • ⭐ Overall client experience Your most important responsibility will be to FIND problems before our clients or website visitors do. 🎯 YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY Every month, you will be assigned a group of client websites to thoroughly review. You will manually inspect each assigned website and provide a clear, organized report showing: • ✅ What is working • ❌ What is not working • ⚠️ What looks incorrect • 🚨 What requires immediate attention • 💡 What could be improved • 📸 Screenshots showing the issue • 🔗 URLs showing exactly where the issue occurs • 📝 A clear explanation of what you found You will not necessarily be responsible for fixing every issue yourself. Your job is to be our FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE for website quality. If something is wrong, we need you to FIND it, document it, and bring it to our attention. 🖥️ MONTHLY WEBSITE QA RESPONSIBILITIES For every assigned website, you will perform a detailed manual quality-assurance review. 🎨 1. WEBSITE VISUAL INSPECTION Review the website page by page and look for visual or design problems, including: • ❌ Broken layouts • 📐 Misaligned sections • ↔️ Incorrect spacing or padding • 🔲 Oversized or undersized elements • 📝 Text overlapping images • 🔘 Buttons displaying incorrectly • 🔤 Fonts changing unexpectedly • 🎨 Incorrect colors • 🖼️ Missing images • 🖼️ Blurry or stretched images • 🚧 Broken banners • 📄 Inconsistent page designs • 📱 Poor mobile layouts • 💻 Desktop display problems • 🧩 Sections that appear unfinished • 🔗 Links that appear incorrectly formatted • 👀 Anything that makes the website look unprofessional We expect you to actually LOOK at the website like a customer would. This is NOT a position where you simply run an automated audit and send us the results. 🔗 2. LINK & BUTTON TESTING You will manually test important links and buttons throughout the website. Look for: • ❌ Broken links • 🔗 Links going to the wrong page • 🔘 Buttons that don't work • 📞 Phone numbers that don't work correctly • ✉️ Email links that don't work • 📅 Booking or appointment buttons that don't work • 📝 Contact forms that don't function properly • 🚀 CTAs that lead somewhere unexpected • 🔗 Internal links pointing to incorrect URLs • 🌐 External links that are broken You should verify that important conversion paths actually work. 📱 3. MOBILE & RESPONSIVE TESTING Mobile quality is extremely important. Review websites on different screen sizes and look for: • 📱 Text that is too large or too small • ↔️ Horizontal scrolling • 🖼️ Images that don't resize correctly • 🔘 Buttons that are difficult to click • 📝 Forms that don't display properly • 🧩 Sections stacking incorrectly • 📐 Broken spacing • 🖼️ Images being cropped incorrectly • 🚫 Elements disappearing unexpectedly • ⚠️ Overlapping content • 👀 Anything that creates a poor mobile experience 📝 4. CONTENT & FORMATTING REVIEW You should also watch for obvious content and formatting problems. Examples include: • ❌ Spelling mistakes • ❌ Grammar issues • ❌ Missing punctuation • ❌ Incorrect capitalization • ❌ Inconsistent terminology • ❌ Duplicate text • ❌ Strange formatting • ❌ Missing content • ❌ Placeholder text • ❌ Lorem ipsum • ❌ Incorrect business information • ❌ Incorrect phone numbers • ❌ Incorrect addresses • ❌ Incorrect service information You do not need to rewrite all website content. We need you to identify anything that appears incorrect and flag it for the appropriate team member. 📞 5. CONVERSION & USER EXPERIENCE REVIEW Think like an actual website visitor. Ask yourself: 👉 Can I easily understand what this business does? 👉 Can I quickly find the information I need? 👉 Can I easily contact the business? 👉 Do the CTAs make sense? 👉 Do the forms work? 👉 Are important buttons easy to find? 👉 Is anything confusing? 👉 Does anything look broken or unfinished? 👉 Is there anything that could cause a potential customer to leave the website? We want someone who can identify problems that automated tools may not catch. 🔎 6. BASIC SEO QUALITY CHECKS You do not need to be an advanced SEO specialist, but you should be comfortable identifying obvious SEO-related issues. Look for things such as: • 🔎 Missing or unusual page titles • 📝 Missing or incorrect headings • 🖼️ Obvious missing image alt text where applicable • 🔗 Broken internal links • 🚫 Pages displaying errors • 📄 Duplicate or obviously incorrect content • 🌐 Incorrect URLs • 📱 Mobile usability problems • ⚡ Obvious performance issues Any issue that could potentially affect search visibility should be documented and escalated. 🧪 7. FUNCTIONALITY TESTING Test important website functionality, including: • 📝 Contact forms • 📞 Click-to-call functionality • ✉️ Email links • 📅 Appointment/booking systems • 🔘 CTA buttons • 🗺️ Maps • 🔗 Navigation menus • 🍔 Mobile menus • ❓ FAQ accordions • 🖼️ Image galleries • 🎥 Videos • 📱 Social media links • 🛒 E-commerce functionality when applicable • 🔐 Login or protected areas when applicable If something doesn't work, document it. 📸 8. DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING This is one of the MOST important parts of the position. Every issue needs to be clearly documented. A good report should include: • 🔴 Issue • 📍 Page/URL • 📝 Description of the problem • 📸 Screenshot • 🚨 Priority level • 💡 Recommended next step when appropriate For example: ISSUE: Contact button does not work URL: example.com/contact PROBLEM: The “Request a Quote” button appears clickable but does not lead anywhere when selected. PRIORITY: HIGH SCREENSHOT: Attached We need reports that allow our developer, SEO team, or account manager to understand the problem without having to investigate everything themselves. 🚨 PRIORITY LEVELS 🔴 HIGH PRIORITY Issues that could immediately affect leads, customers, or website functionality. Examples: • Contact form not working • Phone number not working • Booking button broken • Major mobile issue • Website pages returning errors • Important CTA not functioning 🟠 MEDIUM PRIORITY Issues that negatively affect the user experience or professional appearance but don't completely break the website. Examples: • Misaligned sections • Broken images • Incorrect spacing • Poor mobile formatting • Incorrect links 🟢 LOW PRIORITY Minor improvements or inconsistencies. Examples: • Small formatting inconsistencies • Minor spacing issues • Slight design inconsistencies • Small content corrections 👀 WE NEED SOMEONE WHO NOTICES EVERYTHING This position requires someone who naturally notices details. If you see something and think: “Hmm... that doesn't look right.” 👉 Investigate it. If you click something and think: “Why didn't that work?” 👉 Test it. If you're unsure whether something is an issue: 👉 Flag it. We would MUCH rather review a potential issue that turns out to be minor than have one of our clients discover a major website problem before our team does. ⭐ IDEAL CANDIDATE We are looking for a long-term team member who has: • 🇺🇸 A STRONG COMMAND OF AMERICAN ENGLISH • 👀 Exceptional attention to detail • 💻 Good understanding of websites • 📱 Understanding of responsive/mobile design • 🔗 Experience testing links and website functionality • 🧠 Strong problem-solving skills • 📸 Ability to document issues clearly • 📝 Excellent written communication • ⏰ Strong time management • 🤝 Reliability and accountability • 🚨 Ability to identify priorities • 💬 Proactive communication • 🔍 A natural “QA mindset” Most importantly, we need someone who TAKES OWNERSHIP of website quality. 💡 YOU SHOULD BE COMFORTABLE SAYING: ❌ “This button doesn't work.” ❌ “This image looks stretched.” ❌ “This section doesn't look right on mobile.” ❌ “This link goes to the wrong page.” ❌ “This form isn't functioning correctly.” ❌ “This content appears to be missing.” ❌ “I noticed something unusual here and investigated it.” That is EXACTLY what we want. 🚫 THIS POSITION IS NOT A GOOD FIT IF: • You only rely on automated tools. • You rarely look at websites manually. • You don't notice visual inconsistencies. • You don't test links and buttons. • You wait for someone else to tell you there is a problem. • You are uncomfortable reporting mistakes. • You rush through websites without thoroughly reviewing them. • You have difficulty communicating issues clearly in English. 🏆 WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE A successful QA Specialist will help us catch website problems BEFORE: ❌ A client notices them. ❌ A potential customer encounters them. ❌ A broken form costs us a lead. ❌ A developer spends unnecessary time finding the problem. ❌ A website issue damages the client's professional image. Our goal is simple: EVERY WEBSITE SHOULD LOOK PROFESSIONAL, FUNCTION PROPERLY, AND PROVIDE A SMOOTH EXPERIENCE FOR VISITORS EVERY MONTH. 🚀 LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITY This is intended to be a LONG-TERM position for the right person. As our agency continues to grow, there is potential for the role to expand into additional website QA, UX testing, conversion testing, and quality-control responsibilities. If you are highly observant, technically comfortable with websites, proactive, reliable, and genuinely enjoy finding things other people miss, we'd love to hear from you. If you believe you are the person who can look at a website and immediately notice the things everyone else missed, APPLY NOW. 🔍
