Upwork Job: Urgent Bookkeeper / Tax Prep Specialist — 2022–2025 Business + Personal Cleanup

I’m looking for an experienced bookkeeper/accounting professional who has significant availability THIS WEEK to help me quickly organize and clean up several years of financial records so they are ready for tax preparation. I need to get 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 completed ASAP, ideally within a few days and absolutely no longer than one week. ### Scope of Work I have: - 3 business entities/accounts - The majority of the business transactions/funds flowed through one primary business - Personal bank and financial accounts that also need to be reviewed - Bank statements for the applicable years - QuickBooks records/reports - Puzzle.io accounting records/reports - Additional transaction/payment records as needed The goal is to take everything from 2022–2025 and turn it into clean, organized, tax-ready financials. I need help with things such as: - Organizing bank and credit card statements - Importing/reconciling transactions - Cleaning up QuickBooks and/or Puzzle.io - Identifying transfers between accounts/entities so they are not incorrectly treated as income or expenses - Categorizing business expenses - Identifying owner contributions/distributions - Separating business and personal transactions where necessary - Reconciling income against deposits/payment processors - Identifying potentially missing expenses or deductions - Preparing clean P&Ls and balance sheets by entity and year - Creating organized supporting documentation for our CPA/tax preparer - Helping identify legitimate tax deductions and tax-planning opportunities so we pay the minimum amount legally required - Flagging anything that needs clarification from me immediately rather than waiting until the end ### VERY IMPORTANT — Availability This is not a project for someone who can only work 1–2 hours per day. I am looking for someone who has substantial availability over the next several days and can put serious hours into this immediately. I will also make myself available to collaborate with you, answer questions, identify transactions, provide documents, and help keep the project moving quickly. My objective is to essentially work together intensively and knock out four years of bookkeeping/tax preparation in several days to one week maximum. ### Ideal Candidate You should have strong experience with: - QuickBooks Online - Bank reconciliations - Catch-up / cleanup bookkeeping - Multiple LLCs or businesses - Personal + business transaction separation - Preparing books for delinquent or multiple-year tax filings - U.S. federal tax preparation/accounting - Business deductions and tax optimization - 1099s, contractor payments, owner distributions/contributions, etc. - Puzzle.io experience is a major plus CPA, EA, or someone who regularly works directly with CPAs/tax preparers is strongly preferred. I am not simply looking for data entry. I need someone who understands accounting and taxes well enough to recognize issues, ask intelligent questions, and help us structure everything correctly. ### Timeline Start: Immediately Target completion: 3–5 days Absolute maximum: Approximately 1 week There is potentially a lot of work here, so I am comfortable with someone putting in significant hours this week if they can move quickly and accurately. ### When Applying Please include: 1.
