UX / Usability & Manual Website Tester

Summary

We are looking for an experienced UX/usability tester with manual and exploratory testing experience to review an existing marketplace website on both desktop and mobile. This is not a redesign project. We want someone who can approach the website as a completely new user, explore it independently, and identify practical ways to make the current website easier, smoother and more intuitive to use. What We're Looking For: Usability & navigation: Anything confusing, difficult to find, or unclear to a first-time user. User friction: Unnecessary steps or areas where completing a common task feels harder than it should. Desktop & mobile experience: Issues that make the website noticeably more difficult to use on either desktop or mobile. Visual clarity: Buttons, labels, layouts, instructions, or page elements that could be made clearer or easier to understand. Quick-win improvements: Small changes or functionality improvements that could noticeably improve the user experience without requiring a major rebuild. We are looking for actionable improvements, not a wishlist for a future redesign. We're also not looking for someone who simply follows a QA checklist. We want someone highly observant who thinks independently, explores beyond the obvious, and considers what a real first-time user would expect. Deliverable: A clear, prioritized report with screenshots showing: Issue → Why it matters → Recommended improvement → Priority Quality of findings is more important than quantity. Ideal Experience Usability testing, exploratory testing, manual QA, heuristic evaluation, UX audits, or similar website testing experience. Initial project: approximately 5–8 hours. When applying, briefly tell us about your usability testing experience and give one example of a usability problem you discovered that wasn't simply a technical bug.
