VFX Face Lock

I'm hiring a freelance VFX specialist for face lock and character consistency work on an AI-generated cinematic YouTube series. Long-term per-episode work. ABOUT THE PROJECT I run a fast-growing online show and I'm building a dedicated production team. We produce AI-generated cinematic content and character consistency is our biggest technical challenge. AI generation holds the face well in close-ups and medium shots but drifts on wide shots, angle changes, and complex environments. I need a VFX specialist who can fix that drift in post-production using After Effects or DaVinci face tracking + inpainting workflows. (I'll share the show name and specifics privately once you're shortlisted.) THE SPECIFIC PROBLEM YOU'LL SOLVE Generated video where the character's face becomes inconsistent mid-shot Wide or environment shots where the character's face drifts to a different person Cross-cut sequences where the face changes between angles Motion sequences where the face degrades over time Any shot where the AI generation is close but the face needs to be locked to a reference WHAT YOU'LL DO Track the character's face in After Effects or DaVinci Resolve Apply face replacement, face swap, or targeted inpainting using a locked reference face Blend seamlessly so it looks natural (no obvious cutout, mask edges, or CGI feel) Work with 1 to 3 second AI-generated clips (Chronicles of Bone "Golden Fragment" approach) Deliver clean face-fixed versions of each shot ready for editorial Communicate honestly about what's fixable vs. what needs regeneration DELIVERABLES PER EPISODE Face-fixed versions of every shot where the AI drifted Notes on which shots were unfixable and why Turnaround: 3 to 5 days per episode YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU Have real portfolio of face replacement, face tracking, or face swap work (not just general VFX) Are fluent in After Effects OR DaVinci Resolve (or both) Understand AI-generated video specifically Know the character consistency challenge in AI film and how top creators (Kavan the Kid, Chronicles of Bone) solve it Can turn around fast and iterate on feedback Take direction well and communicate proactively when you hit a wall NICE TO HAVE Experience with AI film production platforms (Runway, Kling, OpenArt, Higgsfield, Midjourney) Deepfake or face swap tool knowledge Your own inpainting or generative fill workflows Cinematic YouTube content experience Familiarity with the Golden Fragment editing approach HOW TO APPLY Start your application with the word "IDENTITY" at the very top.
