Summary

I run a small software/automation agency in Michigan. We build websites, business automations, and AI voice agents for home service companies, mostly HVAC and plumbing operations running one to four trucks. I handle sales, front end, and basic back end myself. I am looking for one or two developers to own the voice agent and integration side on an ongoing basis. This is not a one off project. As we sign clients, each one needs an agent built and configured, and each live client needs someone maintaining it. I am looking for a long term working relationship with recurring monthly income attached, not a single contract. What you would own Building and configuring voice agents on Vapi or Retell Prompt design, conversation flow, endpointing, and interruption handling Telephony setup and call routing through Twilio Calendar integration, primarily Google Calendar and job management platforms like Housecall Pro, Jobber, or ServiceTitan Webhook and CRM integration, including writing call summaries and booked jobs into the client's system SMS notification and escalation paths, including emergency handoff to the business owner Testing against realistic call scenarios before handoff Post launch tuning and fixes on live clients What you would not deal with No client communication, no sales, no website work, no billing. I handle all of that. You work from a written spec and talk only to me. The work itself These agents answer calls the business owner cannot pick up, mostly after hours and overflow. A typical build: the agent greets the caller as the business, collects name, address, phone, and the nature of the problem, distinguishes an emergency from a routine job, books the routine job on the calendar, and escalates the emergency to the owner by SMS or transfer. It has to feel fast, handle interruptions cleanly, and never quote a price or promise an arrival time. The first build is the template. Everything after it is a swap and reconfigure, so I expect the first one to take real hours and the rest to be quick. How the engagement works A short paid hourly test project so we can both see how the other works. Scoped, capped, and paid regardless of whether we continue. If it goes well, ongoing work moves to a fixed fee per client build (half on start, half on delivery) plus a recurring monthly fee per live client that you maintain. I am telling you this upfront because I would rather be clear about the structure now than surprise you with it later. Requirements Demonstrated experience building production voice agents, not tutorials or demos A phone number I can call to hear an agent you built Comfortable with Twilio and telephony concepts Solid written English, since we work from written specs and status updates At least four hours of overlap with US Eastern time Responsive. When a live client's agent breaks, I need to reach you the same day. Terms These are stated upfront so nobody wastes time: Work for hire. Prompts, flows, configurations, and integration code belong to the agency. All platform accounts (Vapi, Retell, Twilio, LLM providers) are owned and paid for by us. You work inside our accounts, not your own. No direct contact with our clients at any point. Twelve month non solicitation covering our clients. Short one page agreement covering the above before the first paid build. To apply Begin your proposal with the word DISPATCH so I know you read this. Proposals without it will not be reviewed. Tell me briefly what you have built and include a number I can call. Skip the biography and the list of technologies. I care about what you have shipped and whether it works.
