Video Creator / Editor for Mindfulness & Meditation YouTube Series

Video Creator / Editor for Mindfulness & Meditation YouTube Series About the Project I am creating a cinematic, faceless YouTube series centered around meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, purpose, healing, and lessons learned through lived experience. These are not fast-paced motivational videos. They are meant to create an experience. The viewer should feel calmer while watching them. There should be space to breathe, moments of silence, beautiful visual storytelling, and intentional transitions that support the message rather than distract from it. I am looking for a long-term video creator/editor who understands this vision and can eventually become a creative partner in bringing these stories to life. Who I’m Looking For The ideal person: ● Has a regular personal meditation practice ● Understands mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, or contemplative practices ● Speaks and understands fluent English ● Has excellent attention to detail ● Understands emotional storytelling ● Knows when not to make a cut ● Can allow silence and stillness to be part of the story ● Understands pacing, rhythm, music, sound design, and cinematic imagery ● Can interpret metaphors visually rather than illustrating every sentence literally ● Is comfortable receiving detailed creative direction ● Can also bring their own creative ideas to the project ● Is interested in developing a consistent visual language across an ongoing series AI-assisted animation and filmmaking experience is welcome, but storytelling and emotional intelligence matter more to me than the software you use. The Visual Style Most episodes begin simply: A seeker approaches a man sitting peacefully after meditation or ceremony. The seeker asks a question. Questions might be: “Why can’t I quiet my mind?” “Why do I feel stuck?” “How do I find my purpose?” The answer then becomes a visual journey. We may move through nature, memories, different stages of life, symbolic imagery, or simple moments of stillness. At important moments, we return to the central character. The videos should feel: Calm. Cinematic. Grounded. Human. Reflective. Spacious. Nature is important. Breath is important. Silence is important. The videos should never feel like a constant stream of cuts designed simply to hold attention. Attention should come from emotional connection and curiosity. For example: If the narration says: “The mind is like the sky, and thoughts are simply clouds passing through it…” I don’t want five different shots during that sentence. I may want the viewer to simply look at the sky for several seconds and watch the clouds slowly pass. That restraint is an important part of this project. The Character The central animated character represents me, but he is not a guru, superhero, or mystical master. He is simply a grounded man sharing wisdom from lived experience. He generally wears a loose blue gi / meditation clothing with white accents, inspired partly by my first teacher and inspiration, Bruce Lee. The energy is peaceful, masculine, humble, compassionate, and present. Typical Episode Structure 1. Stillness We begin in nature after meditation or ceremony. 2. The Seeker Someone approaches with a real human question. 3. The Story The narration begins and the visuals support the emotional journey. Depending on the story, we may move through different stages of human life: Child → Teenager → Young Adult → Older Man The visuals should support the meaning of the narration rather than simply changing because another sentence has started. 4. The Teaching Important ideas receive space. Sometimes the strongest visual will simply be one character, one landscape, or one slow movement. 5. The Practice Many episodes eventually return to meditation, mindfulness, or the breath. 6. The Return We come back to the original setting. The seeker and guide may breathe together. The episode ends with stillness rather than stimulation. What I Will Provide I will provide: ● Finished voice recording ● Script ● Overall creative direction ● Important visual metaphors ● Feedback on drafts ● Examples of previous episodes and what worked/didn’t work What I need from you is the ability to listen deeply to the recording and translate the emotional meaning into visual storytelling. This is important: The pauses in my voice recordings are intentional. Please don’t automatically remove them. Sometimes the pause is part of the teaching. Before Applying Please answer these questions in your application: 1. Do you currently have a meditation or mindfulness practice? Tell me briefly what your practice looks like and how long you have practiced. 2. What does “mindfulness” mean to you personally? Please answer in your own words. 3. Watch/read this metaphor: “The mind is the sky. Thoughts are clouds passing through it.” If you were directing that 15–20 second section of a video, how would you visually present it? 4. How do you decide when to cut to another shot versus allowing one image to remain on screen? 5. What role does silence play in storytelling? 6. What tools do you currently use for animation, AI filmmaking, editing, sound design, and image generation? 7. Please send me 2–3 examples of your work that best demonstrate slow, emotional, cinematic storytelling. Please do not send your entire portfolio. 8. Why does this particular project interest you? Important Application Instruction Please begin your proposal with the words: “One Breath.” This lets me know you actually read the entire posting. Long-Term Vision I am not looking for someone to simply complete one video. I want to find a creator who can learn the rhythm, symbolism, characters, and philosophy of this series so that over time we develop a recognizable visual world together. If you understand meditation… If you understand that silence can sometimes communicate more than another edit… If you care about the details… And if creating something meaningful matters to you… I’d love to see what you can bring to this project.
