Video Editor — B2B Interviews, Podcasts & Executive Thought Leadership (Long-Term, Ongoing Volume)
Worldwide
We're looking for editors who can make a manufacturing executive, a physician, or an engineer genuinely compelling on camera — without turning the piece into gimmicky consumer social content. MarketScale is a B2B content and media platform based in Dallas, Texas. We produce a high volume of interview-driven video for companies in industrials, technology, healthcare, energy, education, and professional services. Our editors turn raw executive conversations into polished brand films, podcast episodes, thought leadership pieces, and short-form social cuts. This is a long-term, ongoing contractor role with consistent weekly volume — not a one-off project. What you'll be doing Editing long-form interview and podcast content (10–45 minutes of raw footage down to a finished piece) Cutting short-form vertical and horizontal social clips from that same footage Building clean, restrained motion graphics: lower thirds, titles, transitions, brand-consistent typography Writing and formatting accurate English captions and on-screen copy Selecting the strongest soundbite from a long executive answer and building around it Working inside client brand guidelines and delivering organized, well-labeled project files Who we're looking for You have strong editorial judgment. Given six minutes of a rambling executive answer and a 45-second target, you know what stays and what goes — and you can explain why. Specifically, you should have: 3+ years of professional editing experience with interviews, podcasts, branded content, documentary, commercial, or corporate/B2B media Advanced Adobe Premiere Pro skills Motion graphics proficiency — After Effects strongly preferred Real typography and design instincts: spacing, hierarchy, restraint Solid audio and color fundamentals — clean mixes, correct exports, proper frame rates and compression Disciplined file management and version control Practical experience with AI-assisted workflows (transcription, search, audio cleanup, caption automation, rough-cut assembly). We want AI to accelerate your judgment, not replace it. The ability to work autonomously English fluency is a hard requirement Our footage is unscripted American business conversation. You need to be able to: Follow a fast exchange between American speakers across different accents Understand technical and business vocabulary Identify what an executive actually meant, not just transcribe what they said Catch filler, repetition, and incomplete thoughts Recognize humor, emphasis, and implication Write polished English captions and headlines Read a creative brief and discuss creative decisions live, in English, on a call We screen this directly with real footage. Roughly C1-level professional fluency — no certificate needed, but the standard doesn't move. Working hours We're on U.S. Central Time (Dallas). We work successfully with editors across many time zones, but you need either meaningful overlap with our morning or a reliable, well-run overnight handoff. Tell us your normal working hours in your proposal.
