Video Editor & Content Creator for YouTube / Social Media Long-Term

Summary I'm looking for a creative and ambitious Video Editor & Content Creator to work directly with me and help build a personal brand around business, sales, entrepreneurship, lifestyle, and travel. This is a long-term opportunity, not a one-off editing project. Your main responsibility will be video editing, but I'm looking for someone who wants to become much more involved over time — helping with ideas, researching content, developing concepts, improving videos, and eventually becoming a major part of the creative direction. You do NOT need years of professional experience. If you're talented, hungry, creative, reliable, and obsessed with getting better at content, I'd rather work with you than someone with 10 years of experience who treats this as another editing job in their queue. What We're Building My background is in sales, entrepreneurship, recruiting, business, and building teams. I have access to an interesting network of entrepreneurs, salespeople, business owners, and creators, and I'm getting serious about documenting what I'm doing and building a personal brand around it. We'll be creating: Instagram Reels TikToks YouTube Shorts Long-form YouTube videos Business & entrepreneurship content Sales content Lifestyle / behind-the-scenes content Travel content Interviews & collaborations Educational videos Original content concepts we develop together I'll handle being on camera, recording, and putting in the time. I need you to help turn that footage into content people actually want to watch. What You'll Be Doing Initially, your main focus will be editing. You'll work on things like: Editing short-form videos Editing YouTube videos Creating strong hooks and openings Improving pacing and retention Adding B-roll, captions, music, sound design, graphics, etc. Turning longer recordings into multiple short-form clips Organizing footage and content Helping maintain a consistent posting schedule But I DON'T want someone who only waits for me to send instructions. As we work together, I'd like you to also help with: Researching creators in our niche Finding content ideas Identifying trends and opportunities Developing video concepts Helping with scripts and outlines Suggesting shots and B-roll Planning what we should record Reviewing what performs well Improving future videos Developing our own recognizable content and editing style You don't need to know how to do everything on Day 1. We'll figure it out together. Who I'm Looking For You could be a great fit if you: Know the basics of video editing Love YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or online content Understand pacing, hooks, storytelling, B-roll, captions, music, and sound Spend time studying successful creators Understand what makes someone keep watching a video Have strong creative instincts Bring ideas instead of always waiting for instructions Want to improve quickly Communicate well Are reliable and consistent Are interested in business, entrepreneurship, sales, lifestyle, or creator content Want a long-term opportunity Students, recent graduates, self-taught editors, and younger creators are absolutely welcome to apply. You do NOT need an insane portfolio. If you've been teaching yourself editing and can show me that you have talent and are serious about getting better, APPLY. Remote / Europe / USA This can be 100% remote. I'm based in Florida, USA, but I'm specifically interested in working with talented editors throughout Europe as well as the US. The time difference can actually work really well — I can record content during the day in the US, send footage over, and you may be able to work on it while I'm offline. Your English should be strong enough to understand spoken English, communicate with me, and edit English-language content effectively. Opportunities to Travel This is NOT required. However, for the right person, there could eventually be opportunities to work together in person. I'm based in Sarasota, Florida, and there may be opportunities in the future to: Come to Florida and film Shoot content in Miami Attend business events Travel for content Film interviews and collaborations Meet entrepreneurs and creators Capture behind-the-scenes content I'd love for this eventually to become much more than sitting behind a computer editing clips. Equipment & Resources I'm serious about investing into making the content good. I already have equipment including: GoPro Insta360 / action cameras Meta glasses Drone Wireless microphones Additional filming equipment I'm also willing to invest in additional cameras, lenses, lighting, audio equipment, software, or whatever else makes sense as we develop the content. I'll do the recording. I'll put in the time. I'll invest in what we need. I need someone who wants to help turn all of that into great content. Where This Can Go My goal is to find one person I can work with consistently for years. We'll start by figuring out our workflow, editing style, content formats, filming process, and posting cadence. Then we'll scale. More content. Better content. Bigger projects. More creative freedom. Potential travel. And eventually, potentially, a larger content team.
