Video Editor (Traditional + AI Tools like Descript) — YouTube SEO a Plus | Long-Term Role

We're looking for a skilled video editor to join us long-term. You should be strong in traditional video editing AND comfortable with modern AI editing tools — especially Descript. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Edit videos end to end: cutting, pacing, transitions, audio cleanup, color correction, captions, and graphics • Use AI tools (Descript and similar) to speed up editing, remove filler words, fix audio, and repurpose content • Turn long videos into short clips for YouTube Shorts and social media • Apply YouTube SEO best practices: titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and hooks that improve views and watch time • Over time, help with content writing and marketing tasks — full training will be provided for this, so no prior experience needed MUST-HAVES • Proven experience with traditional editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) • Hands-on experience with AI video editing tools, especially Descript • A portfolio or samples of videos you've edited • Good English communication and reliable turnaround times • Attention to detail — clean cuts, clean audio, consistent style NICE-TO-HAVES • YouTube SEO knowledge (titles, tags, thumbnails, retention strategies) • Thumbnail design skills • Interest in content writing and marketing (we'll train you) HOW THIS ROLE WORKS We'll start with a small paid trial project.
