Video Editor/VFX Artist for 9:16 Music Video

Summary

I'm looking for a creative and skilled video editor/VFX artist to create a visually striking 9:16 vertical music video for my song "Bodycount." I have raw footage of myself performing the song in a static wide shot — holding an umbrella, with roses on the ground. The base footage itself is intentionally simple and static; your job is to bring it to life through VFX, motion, and creative editing so the final video feels dynamic, cinematic, and entertaining, not like a static performance clip. Deliverables: A fully edited version of the entire song (main deliverable) I will later cut shorter clips myself rom specific sections later (e.g. just the verse, just the hook) for social media What I need: Reframe/edit the footage into 9:16 vertical format, synced to the track Heavy, creative VFX work throughout the entire video — since the source footage is static, I'm relying on VFX to create movement and energy. At minimum this includes animated falling rose petals that appear to land and stay on the ground, but I'm expecting much more: creative transitions, motion graphics, particle effects, speed ramping, glitch/light effects, camera-motion simulation (subtle pans/zooms on the static shot), or any other techniques that make the video feel alive from start to finish Color grading for a polished, cohesive look Animated title "Bodycount" at the start of the video My stage name "VO357" integrated using a custom font (I will provide the font file) Creative idea to explore: scrolling text and/or numbers reflected/displayed on my sunglasses lenses at certain moments Additional creative directions (please follow closely): Every transition should be on beat with the rhythm, not random. Feel free to use many more zoom-ins and close-ups on my face, especially whenever I say "count" during the hook. Could you put my face inside a television at certain moments, similar to the intro of this video at 00:13: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbGs_qK2PQA The "petals only" files are there for you to duplicate the petals so that a lot more petals are falling. Could you also add some reverse effects at certain moments so the petals go back up? The petals should stay on the floor as well — you can duplicate them to make it look like I'm surrounded by roses and petals. Between 00:07 and 00:21 (song timecode), alternate between A_20260514_0053-004.MP4 (Complete Song) and A_20260514_0056.MP4 (1st Verse) during the line "Count, je fais grimper ton bodycount." Use the Complete Song file for "je fais grimper ton bodycount" and the 1st Verse file for the repeated "count, count, count..." Please place me in front of something other than the white wall. For the "allô allô" part (00:52): use the "from far" file only for the section where I pretend to be on the phone (00:18–00:21). For the rest, use the "from close" file. From 01:07 to 01:37, and again from 02:36 to 03:06 (the hook sections), I need much more ENERGY in the video. Cuts, effects, zoom-ins, and zoom-outs should hit hard and stay perfectly in rhythm during these sections specifically. What I'm looking for in a freelancer: Someone with strong VFX/compositing/motion design skills (not just basic cutting) and a genuine creative eye. I want proactive suggestions and bold ideas, not just execution of a brief. Please share examples of past music video or VFX-heavy work in your proposal — this is the main thing I'll judge candidates on.
