Video Editor (YouTube + Shorts/Reels/TikTok) — Men's Self-Development Brand
Worldwide
I'm building a men's self-development brand called on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The content covers physique transformation, mindset, online income, and lifestyle — think along the lines of creators like Jack Hopkins or Andrew Brussai. I'm looking for a skilled video editor to join me as a long-term creative partner. This is not a one-off gig — I want someone who becomes familiar with my brand, my editing style, and my audience, and grows with the channel over time. What You'll Be Editing Long-Form YouTube Videos (Main) - Talking-head style, 8–15 minutes - Educational, transformation, opinion, and personal story formats - Clean cuts, engaging pacing, captions/subtitles, background music - Custom lower thirds and text overlays in brand colours - Thumbnail creation or collaboration on thumbnail design Short-Form Content (Shorts / Reels / TikTok) (Near Future) - Repurposing the best moments from long-form videos into 30–60 second vertical clips - Adding hook text overlays, captions, and platform-native formatting - Occasionally creating standalone short-form clips from raw footage - Optimised for each platform (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok) Course Videos (Future) - Clean, educational talking-head edits — less flashy, more focused and professional - Screen recording integration and simple graphic overlays where needed - This will kick in once the YouTube channel is established (Month 2–3 onwards) What I'm Looking For Must-Haves: - Proven experience editing YouTube long-form content (please share examples) - Strong short-form editing for Reels/Shorts/TikTok — you understand hooks, pacing, and caption placement - Ability to cut engaging Shorts from long-form footage without being told which moments to use - Fast turnaround — I need long-form edited within 48–72 hours of receiving raw footage - Captions/subtitles included as standard in every edit - Comfortable with a dark, premium visual style (not bright/colourful) - Good communication and responsive — I need to know my content is being handled Nice-to-Haves (big bonus if you have these): - Experience with or interest in men's self-improvement, fitness, or lifestyle content - Ability to contribute to content strategy — suggest video ideas, titles, hooks, or formats based on what's performing in this niche - YouTube SEO awareness — understand how titles, thumbnails, and content structure affect performance - Thumbnail design capability (Canva or Photoshop) - Familiarity with CapCut, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve The Working Relationship Growth: As the channel grows and course content begins, your hours and rate can grow with it. I want one person who knows my brand deeply, not a revolving door of editors. Budget I'm looking for a competitive rate for ongoing work. Please quote: - Your rate per long-form video edit (8–15 min, includes captions + thumbnail) - Your rate per batch of 4–5 Shorts cut from one long-form video - Your preferred working arrangement (per project or hourly) I'm budget-conscious at the start but I value quality and reliability above the cheapest option. If you're great at what you do and you want a stable, growing long-term client, let's talk. How to Apply To be considered, please include: - 2–3 examples of YouTube long-form edits you've done (ideally talking-head / lifestyle / self-improvement content) - 1–2 examples of Shorts or Reels you've cut — ideally repurposed from long-form - A one-paragraph note on why you'd be a good fit for this specific brand - Your rate for the scope described above - Your typical turnaround time from receiving raw footage to delivering a first draft Applications without examples will not be considered, so I know you have read this job post start your application with how long you have been a video editor.
