Video Editor for History YouTube Channel — B-Roll Sourcing & AI Visual Assembly (Ongoing)
Worldwide
We run a growing YouTube channel covering the history of Freemasonry, the Shrine, and the Order of the Eastern Star. We're looking for a skilled video editor to take our finished scripts and voiceover audio and turn them into fully assembled, visually engaging videos — ready to publish after a quick review. Most of the completed videos should run between 8 - 15 minutes. What we provide per video: *A finished, edited voiceover audio track (fully timed) *The complete script/transcript What you provide: *All visuals: stock footage, historical images, and/or AI-generated video clips matched to the script *Your own stock footage library/subscription (Storyblocks, Envato Elements, or similar) *Your own AI video generation tool access (e.g., fal.ai, Kling, Runway, Veo, Seedance, or similar) for filling gaps stock footage can't cover — historical/niche subject matter often needs this *Your own editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) and project template/style (intro, outro, lower-thirds, title cards, color grade — we'll approve a style before ongoing work begins) *The full assembly: syncing visuals to narration, pacing cuts to match the audio, adding titles/lower-thirds, and delivering a finished, publish-ready video This is a recurring role, not a one-off project — we're scaling up upload frequency and need someone who can turn videos around consistently. Ideal Skills & Experience: *Strong portfolio in documentary, history, or educational YouTube content (please include 2-3 examples with your application) *Experience sourcing and licensing stock footage/images legally and efficiently *Hands-on experience with AI video generation tools (image-to-video especially) and judgment about where AI visuals look natural vs. where they don't *Comfortable working independently from a script + audio file with minimal direction — you're making the creative calls on shot selection and visual pacing *Strong sense of pacing for documentary-style narration (steady cuts, no gimmicky fast-cut social media style) *Reliable communication and consistent turnaround times How to Apply: Please include: *2-3 examples of similar documentary/history-style video work *A brief note on which stock/AI tools you typically use and why *Your estimated turnaround time per video and your rate (flat per-video preferred) We're looking to start with a paid test video (short script/audio, 3-5 minutes) before committing to ongoing work, to make sure our styles are a good match. Thank you.
