Video Editor for Recipe Videos

Video Editor Needed for German Recipe & Lifestyle Reels / Short-Form Content I’m looking for a reliable and creative short-form video editor for ongoing collaboration. I create German-language content primarily focused on healthy recipes, food, nutrition, and lifestyle. The content is published mainly on Instagram Reels and other short-form platforms. Workload You can expect approximately: * 3–4 recipe videos per week * 1–2 lifestyle videos per week * Approximately 4–6 videos per week in total This is intended to be a long-term collaboration if the quality and workflow are a good fit. Important: Two Versions Per Video For every video, I need two separate versions. The visuals and general editing can remain mostly the same, but each version will have a different voiceover / hook so that I can A/B test the content and see which version performs better. For example: Version A: Voiceover / Hook A Version B: Voiceover / Hook B The video should be edited so that both versions feel natural and are properly synchronized with the respective voiceover. Editing Style I’m looking for modern, engaging short-form editing optimized for retention. This includes: * Fast-paced but clean editing * Cutting unnecessary pauses * Synchronizing footage with the voiceover * Creating a strong flow throughout the video * German subtitles / captions * Highlighting important words where appropriate * Smooth zooms and transitions when they improve the video * Sound effects where appropriate * Background music * Good audio balancing * Color correction if necessary * Strong attention to the first few seconds of the video * Editing optimized for Instagram Reels / TikTok / YouTube Shorts The editing should support the content rather than feel over-edited. The recipes and food should remain the main focus. Language The videos and voiceovers are in German. You do not necessarily have to be a native German speaker, but you should be comfortable working with German content and be able to correctly place German subtitles. German-speaking editors are preferred. Payment The budget is: $20 USD per completed video This includes the two versions of the video with the different voiceovers/hooks. Since I publish several videos every week, there is consistent work available for the right editor. What I Will Provide Depending on the video, I will provide: * Raw video footage * German voiceovers * Instructions or script * Reference videos when necessary * Feedback on previous edits so the editing style becomes increasingly consistent What I’m Looking For I’m looking for someone who: * Has experience editing Reels, TikToks, or YouTube Shorts * Understands short-form retention and social media editing * Can work independently * Pays attention to details * Communicates reliably * Can deliver consistently every week * Is comfortable making revisions when necessary * Understands that the first 1–3 seconds of a video are extremely important * Can adapt to an established editing style after receiving feedback Experience with food, recipe, fitness, health, or lifestyle content is a big advantage.
