We're LAVA, (Lava-film.com pro portfolio) an independent production house based in Puerto Rico. We specialize in video content for local businesses and agencies: commercial work, social content, and brand storytelling. We're building out our editing roster for ongoing monthly content packages and looking for a reliable, skilled editor to join long term. What you'll be doing: Editing narrative brand videos and short form vertical clips from raw footage to final delivery Color grading and sound design/mixing in DaVinci Resolve Building motion graphics, animated titles/subtitles, and simple VFX in After Effects Writing and timing Spanish language subtitles accurately Occasionally using AI tools like Higgsfield to generate or enhance supplementary assets, such as b-roll fill, stylized elements, or quick concept visuals Delivering organized, reusable project files with structured bins and consistent naming Required skills: Strong, demonstrable command of DaVinci Resolve (editing, color, sound) After Effects for motion graphics: animated lower thirds, subtitle animations, simple VFX and masking Bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English. Spanish is required for subtitling and for direct calls and meetings with the client. English is needed for day to day coordination Solid eye for shot selection and coverage. You understand pacing and camera language, not just cutting where marked Experience with at least one AI generation tool for video/image work, such as Higgsfield, Runway, or Midjourney Portfolio or reel required with your application. Show both narrative work and short form social work Nice to have: Experience editing specifically for vertical/social formats Comfort with a fast weekly or monthly turnaround on a recurring basis How to apply: Please include the following.
