Video Podcast Editor Needed – Full Episode + Social Clips

We’re looking for an experienced video podcast editor to help us edit an upcoming episode of mutuals, an interview-style video podcast about relationships. For now, this is a one-off project consisting of one full-length episode + accompanying social clips. However, we’re wrapping up Season 1 and looking ahead to Season 2, so there is potential for this to grow into a longer-term editing opportunity if it’s a great fit. The Project We have a multi-camera interview that needs to be edited into a polished full episode. The biggest challenge with this particular episode is the audio: the primary recording picked up significant room noise, while the individual microphone files captured much cleaner dialogue. We’re looking for someone comfortable working with multiple audio sources who can assess the files, sync and mix the individual mic tracks with the video, reduce background/room noise where possible, and create consistent, natural-sounding audio throughout the conversation. Beyond the audio, we’d like the episode edited in the existing mutuals style, including: - Multi-camera video editing and cuts - Audio syncing, cleanup, mixing, and leveling - Intro/outro and existing show branding - B-roll where appropriate - Captions/text treatments - General pacing and cleanup - Final export of the full episode - A selection of engaging short-form social clips/Reels from the conversation We can provide previous episodes as references so you can match the established look, feel, pacing, and tone of the show. What We're Looking For Someone who has experience editing video podcasts/interviews and is particularly confident with audio repair and mixing. You should have a strong sense of conversational pacing and know how to make an interview feel polished without over-editing the natural interaction between the host and guest. Experience identifying strong moments for short-form social content is also important.
