Virtual Assistant / Business Support Specialist
Worldwide
We are a growing appliance sales and service business looking to hire our first Virtual Assistant. This is our first time hiring a VA, so I want to be upfront: I know I need help, but I am not 100% sure yet exactly what this position will grow into. I am looking for someone experienced, proactive, organized, and dependable who can learn our business, understand how we operate, and help identify tasks and responsibilities they can take off my plate. Some starting areas may include: * Customer follow-up * Creating Processes * Process Workflow and Implementation * Email organization and follow-up * Updating spreadsheets * Tracking outstanding tasks * Warranty claim and payment follow-up * Parts return and vendor credit tracking * Basic research * Administrative support * Helping create better systems and processes * Following up with employees, vendors, or customers when needed I am not looking for someone who needs to be told exactly what to do every hour. I want someone who can eventually say: “I noticed you are spending a lot of time doing this. I can take this over.” or “I noticed this keeps getting missed. I can create a system to track it.” The goal is for us to work together and figure out where you can save me and my team the most time. I am looking for someone who wants a long-term position and can grow with our company. ### What I’m Looking For * Strong written and spoken English * Excellent organization * Strong follow-through * Comfortable with spreadsheets and online systems * Able to work independently * Willing to learn * Comfortable asking questions * Proactive problem solver * Reliable internet and computer * Experience working with U.S. businesses is preferred Experience with customer service, administrative work, bookkeeping support, accounts receivable, claims, or service businesses is a plus. ### Schedule We are located in South Carolina, USA. You should be available for at least part of the workday during U.S. Eastern Time. We may begin part-time and increase hours as we determine where you can provide the most value. ### To Apply Please answer the following: 1. Tell me about your previous VA or remote work experience. 2. What types of businesses have you worked with? 3. What are you especially good at? 4. What tasks have previous employers trusted you to handle? 5. Give me an example of something you noticed and improved without being specifically asked. 6. How have you helped a business owner save time or become more organized? 7. What hours can you work in U.S. Eastern Time? 8. What hourly or monthly rate are you looking for? 9. What is one thing you think you could eventually take off the plate of a busy small-business owner? Please start your application with the words **“I can take ownership”** so I know you read the entire posting.
