Virtual Assistant – Community Events & Local Outreach (Youth Sports Programs)

We are a youth sports coaching company running programs for kids ages 2–9 across schools and communities in Australia, New Zealand, and the USA. We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to help us grow our local community presence. What you'll do: Research and compile a list of local community events (fairs, markets, school fetes, sports days, family festivals, etc.) in our target areas where we could run a pop-up session or set up a promotional stall Identify the event organizer, submission process, cost (if any), and deadlines for securing a stall/booth Post our flyers and program info to relevant local community Facebook groups, community boards, and neighborhood apps (e.g., Nextdoor, local parent groups) Track outreach in a simple spreadsheet (event name, date, location, contact, status, notes) Follow basic posting guidelines we'll provide so all outreach stays consistent with our brand voice What we're looking for: Strong research skills — comfortable digging through Facebook groups, Eventbrite, local council sites, and community boards to find relevant opportunities Good written English for posting on community pages Highly organized, able to keep a tracker updated without much oversight Self-starter who can work independently once given a target area and guidelines Experience with local marketing, community management, or event research is a plus Target markets: San Diego, Orange County, Florida — USA To apply: Please share an example of similar local outreach or community research work you've done, and tell us briefly how you'd approach finding events in a new city you've never worked in before.
