Virtual Assistant
Worldwide
Job Description We're a small, fast-moving digital agency (CityScoop) building and maintaining websites and web apps for local business clients across the US. We're looking for a detail-oriented assistant to support one of our team members with research, QA testing, and AI-assisted development tasks. You'll be working closely under one of our existing team members (who is also Urdu-speaking, so quick calls and clarifications will be easy). This is an ongoing, long-term role for the right person — we're not just looking for a one-off project. No deep coding background required — but you must be comfortable using AI tools like Claude (or willing to learn quickly) to get things done, and you need to be sharp, curious, and thorough. What You'll Be Doing Working with Claude / Claude Code: Writing clear, detailed prompts to direct Claude to build features, fix bugs, or generate content — and knowing how to check its output before reporting it as done. Research: Researching competitor websites and businesses (in the same industries as our clients) to identify features, content, or design ideas worth adopting or improving on. QA / Testing: Thoroughly testing our web apps and client websites — clicking through every page, form, and flow — to catch what's broken, missing, or inconsistent (not just skimming the homepage). Reporting: Clearly documenting what you find — bugs, gaps, opportunities — in a way that's easy for admin/leadership to read and act on (screenshots, short write-ups, organized lists). Following up: Verifying that reported issues actually got fixed once addressed, not just assuming they were. Ad hoc tasks: Supporting your team lead with whatever research, content, or testing tasks come up day to day. What We're Looking For Strong English communication — reading, writing, and speaking. You'll need to write clear reports and prompts, and be understandable on an occasional voice/video call. Comfortable with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) or a fast learner who can pick up Claude Code quickly — we'll provide guidance to get you up to speed. Sharp attention to detail — someone who notices when something looks "off" on a website, not just whether a page loads. Basic familiarity with websites/web apps — comfortable navigating admin dashboards, CMS platforms, forms, and browser dev tools (or willing to learn). Organized and self-directed — able to keep track of multiple open items and follow through without heavy hand-holding. Reliable internet connection and availability for regular communication with a US-based (and Urdu-speaking) team lead. Based in Pakistan — this is intentional, so our team lead can hop on a quick call in Urdu when needed instead of everything going through written English. Nice to Have (not required) Prior experience with QA/bug testing, virtual assistant work, or content/SEO research. Familiarity with tools like Google Docs/Sheets, Trello/Asana, or similar for tracking and reporting. Any exposure to WordPress, website builders, or basic HTML/CSS (helpful but not necessary). Hours & Engagement Part-time to start, with potential to grow into a long-term, ongoing role based on fit. [Specify: hourly or fixed-rate — recommend hourly to start] Some overlap with U.S. business hours preferred for coordination with your team lead. How to Apply Please include: A short note on your experience with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) — even personal use counts. An example of a time you caught a mistake, bug, or gap that others missed (any context — work, school, personal project). Your availability (hours/week) and typical working hours (Pakistan time). Confirmation that you're comfortable with occasional voice calls in Urdu. We're looking to fill this role with someone reliable who we can build a long-term working relationship with — so tell us a bit about yourself in your application, not just a copy-paste cover letter. IMPORTANT: If you try and email us directly, you will not be considered. We will only look at proposals submitted through Upwork.
