Visual Identity & Color Art Direction for a Webcomic I’m looking for an art director or visual-development specialist to help create an original, recognizable, luxurious visual identity for a romance–crime webcomic. The goal is to brand the entire comic through color and atmosphere—giving readers a distinctive feeling from the moment they open it. This is a visual-identity development project, not a production-coloring role. You would: Review my existing artwork and competitor references, shared privately, to identify an original visual direction. Recommend specific palettes for characters, clothing and backgrounds, including changes to existing choices where needed. Define how lighting, shadows, values, saturation and recurring visual elements work together across different scenes and moods. Demonstrate the proposed direction through a small, agreed set of colored panel and background studies for review and approval. Deliver a practical style guide with precise swatches, usage rules and approved examples. I’m looking for someone who combines visual-branding judgment with an understanding of illustrated storytelling. The references should inform differentiation, not copying.
