Wave Accounting Specialist for LLC

I am the founder of a specialty food / CPG brand (single-member LLC based in NY). I need an experienced bookkeeper to help set up our Wave Accounting workspace, categorize our existing transaction history, reconcile our startup expenses, and future-proof our system with transaction automations and auto-categorization rules. Our Chase business checking account and business credit card feeds are already connected and synced inside the Wave app. Scope of Work: 1. Chart of Accounts: Set up a clean chart of accounts in Wave tailored to a specialty food / CPG company (COGS/Production Deposits, Insurance, Legal/Trademark, Software/Hosting, Merchant Processing Fees, and Owner's Equity). 2. Existing Bank/Credit Feed Categorization: Review and accurately categorize all already-processed transactions currently sitting in our synced Chase checking and credit card feeds. 3. Startup Expenses Reconciled: We have organized PDF startup invoices/receipts (pre-formation and pre-bank account opening). These need to be booked properly under Owner's Equity / Capital Contribution where personal cards were used, with receipts attached to each entry. 4. Rule Automations & Future-Proofing: - Set up automated transaction categorization rules in Wave for recurring operational expenses (software subscriptions, insurance, web hosting, registered agent, bank fees). - Configure a clean, automated workflow for handling future incoming Wix e-commerce sales payouts and merchant processing fees. 5. Final Reports & Handover: Generate an updated Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) summary, along with a brief written overview/checklist for maintaining the books moving forward. Deliverables: - 100% categorized bank/credit feeds and fully reconciled Wave workspace. - All startup receipts attached to corresponding transactions. - Automated categorization rules configured in Wave. - Clean Balance Sheet and P&L ready for tax reporting. - Brief ongoing monthly maintenance guideline. Requirements: - Must have direct experience with Wave Accounting (please mention your Wave background in your proposal). - Experience with CPG, retail, or food businesses is a plus. - Turnaround within 3–5 days. All PDF invoices, tax IDs, and an itemized master ledger table will be provided immediately upon hire.
