WordPress Developer: Fix Incorrect Google Maps Location Link in Website Header Project Objective We need a WordPress developer to make one targeted correction to an existing commercial cleaning website. The website currently contains a Google Maps/location link in the visible website header that incorrectly directs users to a location in Melbourne, Australia. The correct business location is: Shine Tech Group Ltd. 27 Roytec Rd, Unit 12 – Suite 4 Vaughan, ON L4L 8E3, Canada Fixed Price: USD Expected Turnaround: Same day Access Provided: WordPress Administrator This is a small, surgical correction only. Existing schema/JSON-LD, WPCode snippets, SEO configuration, plugins, and unrelated website content have already been worked on and must not be modified. Job Scope The developer will: Access the website using the provided WordPress Administrator account. Locate the source of the incorrect Melbourne Google Maps/location link currently appearing in the visible website header. The link may be controlled through: WordPress navigation/menu settings Theme/header settings Elementor or another page/header builder Header template Another WordPress-controlled header setting Before making any changes, document the existing incorrect link and exactly where it is located within WordPress using the required screenshots described below. Replace only the incorrect Melbourne Google Maps/location URL with the correct Google Maps link for: Shine Tech Group Ltd. 27 Roytec Rd, Unit 12 – Suite 4 Vaughan, ON L4L 8E3, Canada Confirm that clicking the corrected website location link opens the correct Vaughan business location in Google Maps. Test the corrected location link on: Desktop Mobile Check the visible website header and footer to confirm the incorrect Melbourne address/location link does not remain in either area. If the same incorrect Melbourne location/link appears elsewhere within the visible header or footer, replace it with the correct Vaughan location. Make no other changes to the website. Strict Restrictions: Do Not Modify The developer must NOT modify, remove, update, disable, or reconfigure any of the following: Existing schema or JSON-LD WPCode snippets SEO configuration or SEO settings SEO plugins Any other plugins Plugin versions or updates Website pages or written content Website design Website structure Unrelated navigation items Unrelated links Unrelated templates Other website code or settings The only authorized changes are those specifically required to correct the Melbourne location/link within the visible header/footer. If anything outside this scope appears to require modification, stop and request approval before making the change. Required Proof of Work Proof of work must be supplied as individual screenshot image files in PNG or JPG format. These screenshots must be clear enough for the client to download and upload to a third party for independent verification of the work. Important A video or screen recording does not replace the required screenshots. Written confirmation alone does not replace the required screenshots. A document containing descriptions of the work does not replace the required screenshots. The actual individual PNG/JPG screenshot files must be delivered. BEFORE-WORK PROOF The following screenshots must be taken before any website changes are made. Screenshot 1: Existing Website Issue Provide a screenshot of the live website showing the existing header/location area before the correction. The relevant location/link must be clearly visible. Screenshot 2: Existing WordPress Setting Provide a screenshot from WordPress Administrator showing exactly where the incorrect Melbourne Google Maps/location URL is currently stored or controlled. The screenshot must: Show the existing incorrect URL clearly enough to read. Show enough of the surrounding WordPress interface to identify where the setting is located. Be taken before the URL is changed. This screenshot establishes exactly what existed before the developer performed the work. AFTER-WORK PROOF After completing the correction, provide the following screenshot files. Screenshot 3: Corrected WordPress Setting Provide a screenshot of the same WordPress area shown in Screenshot 2 after the correction. The screenshot must: Clearly show the new Google Maps/location URL. Show enough surrounding WordPress interface to identify the setting. Allow direct comparison against Screenshot 2. This provides before-and-after evidence of the exact setting that was changed. Screenshot 4: Corrected Desktop Website Provide a screenshot of the live website on desktop after the correction. The visible header/location area must be shown. Screenshot 5: Corrected Mobile Website Provide a screenshot of the live website in mobile view after the correction. The visible header/location area must be shown. Screenshot 6: Google Maps Destination From the live website, click the corrected location link and provide a screenshot of the resulting Google Maps destination. The screenshot must clearly demonstrate that the website link now directs to the correct location: Shine Tech Group Ltd. 27 Roytec Rd, Unit 12 – Suite 4 Vaughan, ON L4L 8E3, Canada Screenshot 7: Footer Verification Provide a screenshot of the live website footer after the work is completed. The screenshot must provide enough visibility to independently confirm that the incorrect Melbourne location/address is not displayed in the visible footer. Screenshot Delivery Requirements All seven required screenshots must be delivered as separate PNG or JPG image files. They must be individually accessible Please do not: Combine the screenshots only into a PDF. Provide only a Word/Google document. Provide only a screen recording. Provide only a video. Provide only written confirmation. Additional video or written explanations are acceptable, but they do not replace the required PNG/JPG screenshot files. Final Written Confirmation After completing the work, the developer must also provide the following written confirmation: “I changed only the incorrect Google Maps/location link required by the project. The corrected link has been tested on desktop and mobile, and the visible header and footer have been checked. I did not modify schema/JSON-LD, WPCode snippets, SEO configuration, plugins, or unrelated website content.” Completion Requirements The agreed fixed-price milestone will be considered complete only when: The original incorrect location/link has been documented before modification. The source of the incorrect link within WordPress has been documented. The Melbourne Google Maps/location link has been replaced with the correct Vaughan location. The corrected link opens the correct Google Maps destination. Desktop functionality has been verified. Mobile functionality has been verified. The visible header has been checked. The visible footer has been checked. The incorrect Melbourne location is no longer present in the specified visible areas. All required before-and-after PNG/JPG screenshot files have been delivered. The final written confirmation has been provided. Existing schema/JSON-LD, WPCode, SEO configuration, plugins, and unrelated website content remain untouched. Do not expand the scope of this job or make additional website changes without prior approval.
