Webflow Developer to Rebuild Finished HTML/CSS Designs into Clean, Maintainable Webflow Sites

Summary

We're a specialized web design studio building high-end websites for outdoor, marine, and boating brands (boat builders, fishing lodges, marinas, outfitters). Our designs are done in polished HTML/CSS and we need a skilled Webflow developer to rebuild them in Webflow, accurately and cleanly. This is not a design role. The design, layout, copy, and visual direction are already finished and locked before they reach you. Your job is to reproduce a completed HTML/CSS reference in Webflow so it matches the design exactly and is built well enough that our team can maintain and edit it easily long after launch. If you're strong at Webflow, detail-obsessed, and you take pride in clean, well-structured builds (not just "it looks right"), this is steady, ongoing work with a studio that has a full pipeline. What you'll be doing: Rebuilding finished HTML/CSS design references into Webflow, section by section, matching the reference precisely (spacing, type, color, layout, responsive behavior) Following our documented build system — we'll provide a construction guide that specifies how we want elements structured (shared classes, naming conventions, native forms/navs, our Webflow Variables setup) Setting up our design system in Webflow Style Variables (we provide the values in an import-ready block) Building navs and forms natively in Webflow Handling responsive behavior across breakpoints A clean QA pass before handoff — hover states, links, form submissions, mobile Recreating animations and interactions in Webflow to match the HTML designs Using conversion tools is fine: If you use HTML-conversion tools to speed up the rebuild, no problem. We design our references to convert cleanly. But the tool is a starting point, not the finish line. The final build still has to match the reference precisely, follow our construction system, and pass a real QA cleanup. We care about the quality and structure of what you deliver, not the path you took to get there. Webflow is our primary platform, but multi-platform skills are a big plus: Most of our work is Webflow, but we occasionally build on WordPress/Elementor and Shopify as well. If you're also strong on either of those, that's a significant advantage and means more work we can send your way. Not required, but if you have it, we want to know. What makes this a fit: You're genuinely fluent in Webflow — Style Variables, Interactions, native components, breakpoints, CMS when needed You care about how a build is structured underneath, not just how it looks. You understand why clean class systems and maintainable builds matter for long-term editing You can follow a documented system rather than doing it "your way" — we have specific conventions and they exist for good reasons You're detail-obsessed about matching a design reference precisely You communicate clearly and ask smart questions when something's ambiguous Reliable turnaround and consistent availability for ongoing work Bonus: WordPress/Elementor and/or Shopify development experience How we work: We hand you a finished HTML/CSS reference file plus our construction guide and Webflow Variables block You rebuild it in Webflow following the reference and our system (conversion tools welcome as a starting point) You do a QA pass and flag anything that needs clarification We review, you refine, we launch Repeat — we have a steady pipeline and want a long-term developer to build a relationship with To start: We'll begin with one paid trial build so we can both see if it's a good fit. If it goes well, this becomes ongoing, consistent work. Rate: Per-project. Tell us your rate for rebuilding a typical 5-10 page marketing site from a finished HTML reference. Before you apply: To make sure you've read this post (and to help us filter quickly), please do the following in your application: At the very top of your submission, paste 2-3 links to recent Webflow sites you've built, ideally ones you rebuilt from a design reference or Figma file. We want to see live Webflow work, not templates. Right after your links, note if you also work in WordPress/Elementor or Shopify, and if so, paste a link or two to sites you've built on those platforms. Applications that don't include live Webflow links at the top will not be reviewed.
