Website Design & Development — Digital-First News Platform I'm building a digital-first, bilingual news platform and need a designer/developer to build the website from the ground up. Project scope: Full website design and development for a news/media platform — not a brochure site. Needs to handle high content volume, frequent publishing, and fast load times. Bilingual support: Urdu (RTL) and English (LTR), with clean switching between the two — this is not a simple translation plugin job, layouts need to work properly in both directions. Headless CMS integration or custom-built — happy to hear recommendations). Editorial team needs to publish easily across formats: articles, video/explainer content, and recurring programme-style content. Visual identity is already locked — I have a complete brand guideline (colors, typography, logo usage, layout principles) and developer-ready CSS tokens ready to hand over. You'll be implementing an existing design system, not creating one from scratch, though UI/UX design for page templates and layouts is still needed. Owned-audience infrastructure: email list capture/newsletter signup and clear pathways to our distribution channels (social, WhatsApp) need to be built in from day one — these are treated as core, not an afterthought. SEO fundamentals done right: fast performance, clean structured data/markup, mobile-first (most of our audience will be on mobile). Homepage, section/category pages, article template, video/programme template, about/masthead page, contact — final page count to be scoped together. What I'm looking for: Experience building content-heavy or publisher/news sites (not just static marketing sites) Real experience with RTL/bilingual layouts Comfort working with an existing brand system and CSS tokens rather than starting from a blank page Headless CMS experience Someone who can own both design polish and clean, performant development Deliverable: fully functional, mobile-first, bilingual news website ready for editorial team to start publishing.
