The ideal candidate combines strong web systems development experience with practical expertise in GoHighLevel (GHL). This role is suited for a developer who understands both software development and business automation and can build solutions that connect websites, CRM platforms, APIs, databases, communication systems, forms, and third-party services. The successful candidate should be comfortable working across multiple domains and industries, developing both customer-facing and internal systems, troubleshooting complex integrations, and taking projects from requirements through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement. Key Responsibilities Web Systems Development Design, develop, maintain, and improve modern web applications, business systems, portals, dashboards, websites, and digital platforms. Develop responsive, secure, and user-friendly interfaces for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Build both customer-facing and internal web applications based on business and operational requirements. Develop reusable, scalable components and maintain clean, organized, maintainable codebases. Work with modern frontend and backend technologies to create reliable full-stack applications. Develop and maintain authentication, user accounts, role-based access, dashboards, forms, reporting interfaces, administrative tools, and other business-system functionality. Maintain existing applications while introducing improvements without unnecessarily disrupting established functionality. Multi-Domain Development Work across websites and applications serving different business domains and operational requirements. Translate business processes from different industries into practical digital systems. Understand that each domain may have different workflows, terminology, data structures, security requirements, integrations, and user experiences. Develop flexible systems that can support business-specific requirements rather than forcing every organization into the same generic workflow. Conduct research where necessary to understand unfamiliar business domains and translate requirements into appropriate technical solutions. GoHighLevel (GHL) Development & Administration Configure, develop, maintain, and optimize GoHighLevel environments. Work extensively with: CRM contacts and customer records Opportunities and pipelines Workflows and automations Forms and surveys Custom fields and values Tags and segmentation Email and SMS Calling and conversations Calendars and appointment scheduling Triggers and workflow conditions Landing pages and funnels Webhooks User accounts and permissions Reporting AI and chatbot capabilities Third-party integrations Build automated workflows that improve lead management, customer communication, follow-up, internal notifications, appointment scheduling, sales operations, and other business processes. Troubleshoot GHL workflows, automation failures, field mappings, contact synchronization, webhooks, and integration issues. Stay current with GHL platform developments and apply relevant new capabilities to business systems. API & Systems Integration Design and implement integrations between web applications, GHL, CRM platforms, third-party services, and internal business systems. Work with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON payloads, authentication mechanisms, and external services. Develop reliable data synchronization between connected systems. Troubleshoot API failures, synchronization problems, malformed payloads, authentication errors, rate limitations, and integration inconsistencies. Implement appropriate validation, logging, error handling, retries, and monitoring for integrations. Understand and document which connected system is responsible for specific data and business functions. Frontend Development Develop modern, responsive, accessible, and aesthetically polished user interfaces. Experience with technologies such as: React, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, or comparable modern frontend technologies is preferred. Translate designs, wireframes, business requirements, and prototypes into functional interfaces. Create dashboards, tables, forms, cards, navigation systems, timelines, workflows, data-management interfaces, and responsive layouts. Maintain consistent visual identity and reusable design-system components across applications. Ensure interfaces are usable across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Backend Development Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, business logic, authentication systems, database interactions, and integrations. Experience with technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or comparable backend environments is desirable. Build secure APIs and application services that support frontend applications and third-party integrations. Implement appropriate authorization, validation, logging, error handling, and data-governance controls. Database & Data Management Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases used by modern web applications. Experience with technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Prisma ORM, or comparable database technologies is desirable. Design and maintain appropriate data models and relationships. Write queries, migrations, validations, and data-processing routines where required. Protect production data and avoid unsafe destructive changes. Support data migration, synchronization, deduplication, reconciliation, and quality improvement initiatives. Website Development & Management Develop and maintain professional company websites, landing pages, customer portals, forms, and web-based services. Connect website functionality to CRM systems, APIs, databases, payment/billing services, communication platforms, and automation workflows. Ensure forms and calls-to-action route information to the correct systems. Perform responsive testing and cross-browser testing. Troubleshoot broken links, forms, integrations, navigation, performance, and other website issues. Support domain, DNS, SSL, hosting, and deployment requirements where necessary. Automation & AI Integration Identify opportunities to automate repetitive business processes. Develop and configure workflow automation using GHL and other approved automation technologies. Support implementation of AI-powered functionality such as chatbots, virtual assistants, intelligent routing, content assistance, and workflow support where appropriate. Integrate automated systems with CRM and web applications while maintaining appropriate security, privacy, and human oversight. Testing & Quality Assurance Perform thorough testing before releasing changes. Testing responsibilities may include: Functional testing Integration testing API testing Regression testing Responsive testing Cross-browser testing User-access testing Role/permission testing Form-submission testing Automation testing End-to-end workflow testing Identify defects, determine root causes, implement corrections, and retest before deployment. Work with other team members and business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Deployment & Production Support Support applications through development, staging, deployment, and production operation. Work with modern cloud and deployment environments. Experience with AWS, Azure, Vercel, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or comparable infrastructure is beneficial. Use Git and structured version-control practices. Support branch management, code reviews, releases, rollback procedures, and production troubleshooting. Monitor deployed systems and respond appropriately to application, integration, or infrastructure issues. Security & Privacy Follow secure software-development practices. Required Qualifications Candidates should demonstrate professional experience in web application or web systems development and hands-on experience working with GoHighLevel (GHL). Strong candidates will have experience with modern frontend development, backend/API development, databases, third-party integrations, automation, Git/version control, responsive web development, debugging, testing, and production deployment. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to understand business requirements and independently translate them into practical technical solutions. Preferred Technical Skills Experience with several of the following is highly desirable: Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS. Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Python, REST APIs, webhooks, server-side application development. Database: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Prisma or similar ORM/database technologies.
