# Job Title Website, Email & GBP Support Assistant for Local SEO Agency # Job Description I run a local SEO and Google Business Profile agency, and I’m looking for a reliable part-time assistant to help with website updates, email troubleshooting, support tickets, Google Business Profile tasks, and task tracker updates. The most important part of this role is responsiveness and follow-through. I need someone who can help troubleshoot basic website and email issues, contact hosting or platform support when needed, track issues until they are resolved, and clearly update our project manager. This is not a high-level SEO strategy role. You will work from clear instructions, checklists, and tasks assigned by our project manager. # Main Responsibilities You will help with: * Troubleshooting basic website issues * Troubleshooting basic email issues * Opening and managing support tickets with hosting companies, domain providers, plugin companies, or website platforms * Following up on support tickets until the issue is resolved * Testing contact forms and website buttons * Checking if emails, forms, or notifications are working properly * Basic WordPress updates * Blog uploads and formatting * Page edits and content updates * Google Business Profile posts * Google Business Profile photo uploads * Updating Google Sheets * Updating task trackers * Organizing client assets in Google Drive * Sending task completion updates to the project manager * Clearly communicating when something is completed, delayed, or blocked # Support Ticket Responsibilities For support tickets, you may need to: * Contact hosting support * Contact domain support * Contact email support * Contact plugin/theme support * Provide screenshots or basic details * Track ticket status * Follow up if there is no response * Update the project manager with the issue, status, and next step * Confirm the issue is fixed before marking the task complete You do not need to solve every advanced technical issue yourself, but you must be able to communicate clearly with support teams and stay on top of the issue until it is resolved. # Email Troubleshooting Examples You may help troubleshoot issues such as: * Client email not working * Website contact form emails not being received * Email forwarding issues * Basic DNS/email record issues * SMTP/plugin email issues * Form notification problems * Hosting email support tickets * Checking whether test emails are being delivered # Website / WordPress Tasks You may also help with: * Uploading blog posts to WordPress * Formatting pages and posts * Updating images, headings, links, and buttons * Making basic Elementor edits * Testing website forms * Checking mobile formatting * Updating plugins only when instructed * Reporting website errors or issues # Google Business Profile Tasks You may help with: * Publishing GBP posts * Uploading GBP photos * Updating simple GBP information when instructed * Checking GBP tasks from a checklist * Reporting completed GBP work # You Will Not Be Responsible For * SEO strategy * Sales * Full client management * Advanced coding * Major website redesigns * Making technical changes without approval * Changing DNS records without approval * Making promises to clients * Making major client decisions without approval # Ideal Candidate You are a good fit if you: * Are very responsive during working days * Have experience with WordPress * Have basic website troubleshooting experience * Are comfortable contacting support teams * Can follow up on support tickets without being reminded * Can write clear updates * Can update Google Sheets and task trackers accurately * Have used Google Business Profile before * Can communicate when a task is completed or blocked * Are organized and detail-oriented # You Are Not a Good Fit If * You are slow to respond * You disappear when something is difficult * You do not like troubleshooting * You do not follow up on support tickets * You do not update task trackers * You need constant reminders * You are not comfortable working with WordPress or hosting support # Communication Expectations Responsiveness is very important. I expect: * Same-day response during working days * Clear updates when tasks are completed * A message if something is delayed or blocked * Support tickets tracked until resolved * Clean notes in the task tracker * No disappearing # First 30 Days In the first 30 days, you will help with: * Website support tasks * Email troubleshooting * Support tickets * Contact form testing * Google Business Profile posts/photos * Blog uploads * Spreadsheet and task tracker updates * Weekly support for the project manager # How to Apply Please answer the following questions: 1. What experience do you have with WordPress troubleshooting? 2. Have you handled website, hosting, domain, or email support tickets before? 3. Have you troubleshot website contact forms or email delivery issues before? 4. Are you comfortable contacting hosting, plugin, domain, or email support and following up until resolved? 5. Have you worked with Google Business Profile before? 6. Are you comfortable updating Google Sheets and task trackers? 7. What hours are you usually available? 8. Please describe a time you helped resolve a website, hosting, or email issue. 9. How do you communicate when a task is delayed or blocked? # Important The most important part of this role is reliability. I need someone who can troubleshoot basic issues, open support tickets, follow up, update the tracker, and clearly communicate when something is done or blocked.
