I am looking for an experienced Squarespace 7.1 designer/developer to redesign and finish a website for a new premium hockey development and training business. The website already exists in Squarespace and the branding/logo/color direction has been established. I am NOT looking to start over with a complicated custom-coded website. I want someone who can take what I have and turn it into an extremely clean, professional, premium website that is easy for me to manage after the project is finished. DESIGN DIRECTION The website should feel: * Premium * Athletic * Modern * Clean * Minimal * Professional * High-end but approachable * Excellent on mobile I DO NOT want the typical busy youth sports website with dozens of buttons, menus, banners and competing colors. Think more along the lines of a premium athletic/golf/lifestyle brand combined with an elite hockey development company. The brand colors are primarily: * Dark navy * Cream/off-white * White * Small/subtle red accents I already have logos and branding assets. Photography and video will be an important part of the website, so the design should use large, high-quality imagery rather than excessive text and graphics. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE WEBSITE The #1 goal is to make it extremely easy for parents/players to: 1. Discover a camp, clinic or development program 2. Understand exactly what it includes 3. See dates, times, age/skill requirements and price 4. Register and pay 5. Receive the appropriate confirmation The customer should NEVER be confused about where to click or how to register. The other major goals are: * Book private/small-group training * Sell branded apparel * Learn about the company and coaching philosophy * Collect emails/contacts from interested families * Make adding future camps and clinics easy PAGES / NAVIGATION I want a very simple navigation structure similar to: HOME CAMPS & CLINICS DEVELOPMENT PRIVATE / SMALL GROUP TRAINING SHOP ABOUT CONTACT And a prominent BOOK / REGISTER call-to-action. I am open to recommendations if you believe there is a cleaner navigation structure. HOMEPAGE The homepage should immediately establish the brand and what we do. Potential structure: * Large hero image/video * Strong headline and short mission statement * Clear CTA to upcoming camps/clinics * Featured upcoming programs * Development/training offerings * Brief coaching philosophy * Founder/coaching credibility section * Apparel/shop preview * Testimonials/social proof section that can be expanded over time * Email signup * Clean footer I want the homepage to be visually impressive without being cluttered. CAMPS & CLINICS This is extremely important. I will regularly launch new hockey camps, clinics and multi-week programs. Examples could include: * Defense development/compete clinic * Forward scoring clinic * Girls development program * Learn-to-skate/youth development * Summer development camps * Preseason programs * Coaching clinics I want a clean Camps & Clinics landing page displaying upcoming programs. Each program should be able to have its own landing page containing: * Program title * Strong photo * Description * Dates * Times * Location * Age/skill level * What’s included * Number of sessions * Price * Availability/capacity if possible * Clear REGISTER NOW button I need a system that makes it EASY FOR ME to duplicate/create new program pages after the project is finished. ACUITY SCHEDULING I already plan to use Acuity Scheduling. The designer MUST have experience integrating and configuring Acuity with Squarespace. I want Acuity used where appropriate for things such as: * Private lessons * Small-group lessons * Development sessions * Other bookable training I do not want customers bouncing around through a confusing booking experience. Where possible, scheduling should feel integrated into the website. The freelancer should help configure: * Appointment types * Scheduling * Payments * Intake information * Confirmation emails * Cancellation/rescheduling flow * Capacity where applicable * Mobile booking experience I need you to TEST the entire booking process before completion. ECOMMERCE / APPAREL STORE I want a fully functioning Squarespace Commerce apparel store. Initial products will likely include: * Hats * T-shirts * Performance shirts * Hoodies * Joggers * Other branded apparel The shop needs: * Clean product pages * Product photos * Size/color variants * Inventory * Shipping * Taxes * Payment processing * Discount codes * Order confirmation * Sold-out products * Mobile checkout I want the shop to feel like a small premium clothing brand — NOT like a cheap sports merchandise page. ABOUT PAGE I will provide the story/content. The designer should turn it into a visually strong page explaining: * Founder background * Professional hockey experience * Why the business was created * Coaching/development philosophy * Mission * Connection to the local hockey community This should establish credibility without becoming a giant biography. MOBILE EXPERIENCE Mobile design is extremely important. A large percentage of parents will discover the business through Instagram/social media and open the website on their phone. The mobile experience needs to be excellent. I want the designer to specifically test: * Navigation * Program registration * Acuity booking * Apparel purchases * Forms * Checkout * Images/video * Loading speed * Buttons * Text readability SEO / TECHNICAL BASICS I am not looking for an expensive ongoing SEO campaign. However, I expect proper basic setup including: * Page titles * Meta descriptions * Image alt text * Clean URLs * Social sharing images * Favicon * Basic local SEO structure * Google/search-friendly page organization * 404 page * Redirects if existing URLs change EMAIL / LEAD COLLECTION I want an easy way for families to join an email list for: * New camps * Clinics * Registration openings * Training opportunities * Company updates Please recommend the simplest Squarespace-compatible setup. WHAT I ALREADY HAVE I already have: * Squarespace website/account * Domain * Brand name * Logos * Brand colors * General design direction * Existing website content * Program ideas/details * Photography, with significantly more professional photography/video coming * Acuity account/setup in progress * Apparel/products in development I need someone who can take these pieces and turn them into a polished, functioning website.
