WordPress Developer Needed for Figma-to-WordPress Website Redesign

We’re looking for an experienced WordPress developer to help implement a redesign of our existing website. We are currently working with a designer who will be creating the new website designs in Figma. Once the designs are complete, we’ll need a developer to translate those designs into WordPress and integrate them into our existing website. This is not a complete rebuild from scratch. Some pages will be redesigned, while other existing pages and functionality will remain in place. A major priority for this project is **performance**. We want the redesigned website to be extremely fast, lightweight, and highly optimized for mobile devices. We are not looking for a visually accurate build that sacrifices speed or usability. ### Project Scope The developer will be responsible for: * Building the new Figma designs accurately in WordPress * Creating a fast, lightweight, mobile-first implementation * Making all redesigned pages fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile * Optimizing page speed and overall website performance * Integrating the new designs with existing pages that are not being redesigned * Maintaining and integrating existing WordPress plugins and functionality * Ensuring existing forms, tracking, integrations, and other site functionality continue working properly * Working in a staging environment so the live website is not disrupted during development * Testing the redesigned site thoroughly before launch * Managing or assisting with the final deployment to the live website * Troubleshooting any compatibility or functionality issues that arise during the redesign ### Performance & Mobile Experience Website speed and mobile usability are particularly important to us. We want someone who understands how to build WordPress sites that perform well without unnecessary plugins, scripts, page weight, or development bloat. The finished site should: * Load quickly, especially on mobile devices * Be optimized for Core Web Vitals and modern performance standards * Use responsive layouts that feel intentionally designed for mobile, not simply scaled-down desktop pages * Avoid unnecessary plugins, scripts, and code that negatively impact performance * Maintain strong performance as new designs are integrated with the existing website ### Timing The Figma designs are still being developed, so we do not have a firm development start date yet. We expect development to begin approximately 2 to 4 weeks from now, although that timeline could change. We are posting the project now because we want to identify the right developer ahead of time, understand the likely development costs, and be ready to begin as soon as the designs are complete. ### What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone with strong experience working on established WordPress websites, particularly redesign projects where new designs need to be incorporated without breaking existing functionality. Strong candidates should have experience with: * WordPress development * Figma-to-WordPress implementation * PHP, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript * WordPress performance optimization * Mobile-first and responsive development * Core Web Vitals * Existing WordPress themes and plugins * Staging and production deployment * Troubleshooting plugin, theme, and compatibility issues * Clean, maintainable development practices Attention to detail is important. We want the finished website to closely match the approved Figma designs while remaining stable, fast, mobile-friendly, and easy to maintain.
