WordPress / Elementor Web Developer — Ongoing Site Builds, Migrations and Maintenance

We are looking for a reliable, skilled WordPress developer to become our go-to resource for building, migrating and maintaining sites on an ongoing, hourly-paid basis. The work centres on designing and building clean, modern, fully responsive websites using Elementor Pro on WordPress. A typical project is a six to seven page brochure-style site built from a written brief with content and branding supplied. You will receive a project brief outlining the site structure, design direction, reference sites and any specific functionality, and you will be expected to deliver a polished, launch-ready site with minimal supervision. Projects range from simple single-page builds to more involved multi-page sites with contact forms, galleries, embedded video and light integrations. Beyond new builds, the role includes migrating existing WordPress sites between hosting environments (including DNS, SSL, database and plugin migration), performing routine maintenance such as plugin and theme updates, security patches, backups and uptime checks, and making content and design changes to live sites as requested. Experience with managed WordPress hosting platforms such as SiteGround, Cloudways or similar is expected. You should be comfortable working from a creative brief rather than a pixel-perfect mockup, making sensible design decisions within brand guidelines, and communicating clearly in English when something in the brief needs clarifying. We value a developer who can suggest improvements and flag issues before they become problems, not one who builds exactly what is written even when it does not make sense. We are hiring on an hourly basis with the expectation of regular, recurring work. Volume will vary but you should expect several projects per month once established. Availability during UK business hours for communication is important, though the build work itself can be done at whatever time suits you.
