WordPress Migration & Website Management

We are a small, family-run business operating Blackwater Lodge Retreat, a boutique holiday lodge development on the Essex coast with twelve luxury holiday homes. We already have an established WordPress website which is performing well and generating enquiries. We are not looking for a complete redesign. Instead, we'd like to bring the website fully under our own control and establish a relationship with a reliable WordPress developer who can support us as the business grows. The Project Our current website is hosted by our existing web agency, who have been very helpful in providing the information required for a smooth migration. We already have: WordPress Administrator access Permission to migrate the website A custom WordPress theme that can continue to be used Confirmation that a full website backup will be provided Confirmation that the domain can be transferred into our own account The project is therefore focused on moving the website safely and setting us up for the future. Scope of Work The successful freelancer will be asked to: Recommend a suitable managed WordPress hosting provider (UK preferred) Migrate our existing website to the new hosting Assist with transferring the domain into our own account Install our own Advanced Custom Fields Pro licence Update WordPress and plugins where appropriate Configure SSL and backups Check that all enquiry forms are working correctly Ensure HubSpot and Google Analytics continue to function correctly Test the website thoroughly following migration Provide a simple handover so we understand how everything is configured Future Support Following a successful migration, we'd like to have someone we can contact for occasional support, such as: Small content changes Performance improvements Advice on new functionality WordPress maintenance General technical support There is no guaranteed monthly commitment, but we would like to build a long-term working relationship with the right person.
