Wordpress Developer for Small Agency

We’re a small digital marketing agency looking for a reliable, mid-level WordPress developer to help maintain client websites on an ongoing basis. This role is primarily focused on website maintenance, troubleshooting, security, and updates rather than full website builds. Responsibilities Update WordPress core, themes, and plugins Create and verify backups before updates Update PHP versions and resolve compatibility issues Monitor and improve website security Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, errors, and broken functionality Fix minor layout, content, form, and mobile issues Monitor uptime and respond to urgent website problems Test websites after updates Document completed work and communicate any concerns Required Experience Strong WordPress maintenance experience Experience with backups and website restoration Knowledge of WordPress security best practices Experience updating PHP and resolving compatibility issues Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, hosting, SSL, and DNS Experience with staging websites Clear communication and strong attention to detail Experience with Divi, Elementor, Bricks, Cloudflare, cPanel, website migrations, and performance optimization is preferred. This is a remote, part-time contractor position with ongoing work available.
