PR Writer + Media Distribution for Startup Seed Funding Announcement

We are a Montreal startup building computer vision for factory floors. Our AI watches assembly stations, coaches operators in real time, and gives plant teams cycle time and quality insights. We just closed a seed round, and we need someone to write the announcement and get it placed across North American media. This is a short project and you own it end to end. What you will do: • Write the press release announcing our round • Build a targeted media list with named reporters, not just outlets • Pitch those reporters directly • Coordinate a wire release if we decide to use one • Send a short wrap-up on who you pitched and where we landed We want coverage in: • Venture and startup media • Financial and business press • Manufacturing and industrial tech trades You are a fit if you: • Have written funding or product announcements that earned real coverage • Write in plain, direct English with no fluff • Have your own reporter relationships in at least one of those lanes • Can turn a technical product into a story a business reader understands Bonus points if you: • Have contacts on the manufacturing, AI, or hardware beats • Have announced seed or Series A rounds for hardware or AI startups To apply, include: • Two press releases you wrote, with links to the coverage they earned • Which media lanes you have contacts in • Your rate and availability over the next few weeks
