YouTube Psychology Channel — Scriptwriter & Video Editor About the Channel I’m launching a new faceless YouTube channel focused on psychology, human behaviour, marketing psychology and social media psychology. The channel will explore the psychology behind things people experience every day, with an entertaining, documentary-style approach. Examples of topics include: * Why Your Brain Can’t Stop Replaying Embarrassing Moments * Why Social Media Is So Difficult to Put Down * Why Luxury Brands Make Products Feel More Valuable * Why We Procrastinate Even When We Know We Have a Deadline * Why Limited-Edition Products Feel More Desirable * Why We Suddenly Want Something After Seeing Everyone Else Buy It * Why We Compare Ourselves to People Online I want the content to feel interesting, cinematic and genuinely informative, rather than like generic “10 psychology facts” videos. What I’m Looking For I’m looking for a YouTube scriptwriter/video editor or small production team who can help produce high-quality long-form videos. Ideally, you will be able to handle: * Topic research * Finding credible sources * Developing compelling video concepts * Writing engaging scripts * Creating strong hooks * Video editing * Finding/creating appropriate visual assets * Adding motion graphics, text and transitions * Background music and sound design * Creating a strong visual flow throughout the video The final videos should be faceless but highly engaging, with visuals changing regularly to maintain viewer attention. Style I’m Looking For Think: Psych2Go × The School of Life × documentary-style YouTube storytelling However, I do NOT want copies of existing channels. I’m looking for an original visual identity and storytelling style. The videos should: * Hook the viewer within the first few seconds * Explain psychology in an easy-to-understand way * Use storytelling rather than simply listing facts * Maintain curiosity throughout the video * Use credible research rather than unsupported pop-psychology claims * Feel polished and professional * Be suitable for YouTube monetisation Video Specifications Initial videos will generally be: 8–12 minutes long I’d like to begin with approximately 1–2 videos per week, with the possibility of increasing the workload if the collaboration goes well. I am looking for someone interested in a long-term collaboration, rather than a one-off project. Important Requirements Please only apply if you can demonstrate experience creating YouTube content. You should understand: * Audience retention * YouTube storytelling * Hooks * Pacing * Thumbnail/title psychology * Copyright-safe content * YouTube monetisation policies * How to create original content rather than mass-produced or repetitive videos I am happy to use AI tools as part of the production workflow where appropriate, but I do not want generic AI-generated videos. The finished content needs to feel human, original and thoughtfully produced. What to Include in Your Application Please send: 1. 2–3 examples of YouTube videos you’ve personally worked on 2. What part of the production process you handled 3. Your experience with psychology, documentary, educational or business content 4. Your rate for an 8–12 minute video 5. Your estimated turnaround time 6. Which editing software you use 7. Whether you can also handle research and scripting 8. One psychology/marketing video idea you think would perform well for this channel Bonus Experience with motion graphics, animated explainers, retention-focused editing, psychology content, marketing or documentary storytelling would be a major advantage. I’m looking to build this into a serious long-term YouTube brand, so if the first projects go well, there will be ongoing work.
