YouTube Channel Manager for Christian Apologetics Channel
Worldwide
I run a Christian apologetics YouTube channel with 47,000 subscribers, and I'm launching a second channel built entirely from my existing content. I'm hiring one person to run it. There's a large back catalog to work from — years of published livestreams and debates. You'll never wait on me to produce anything. You go through the archive, find the conversations worth pulling, and turn them into standalone videos and shorts for the new channel. The channel covers Christian apologetics: theology, philosophy of religion, and debates with Muslims, atheists, and others. Some of it gets heated. You don't need to share my beliefs, and plenty of good editors won't, but you should be comfortable with the material and able to tell when a theological argument is complete versus cut off mid-point. That judgment matters more than any technical skill on this list. The weekly work: • 4-6 long videos (12-35 min) recut from existing streams • 2-3 vertical shorts per day with burned-in captions • Thumbnails from an established template • Scheduling and publishing on a fixed calendar • A short monthly note on what performed and what you'd change How much control you'll have: two approval points, titles and thumbnails. Every cut, every clip selection, every description and publish time is yours. I'm hiring this role so the channel runs without me in it daily, which doesn't work if you're waiting on me for answers. You'll get a full operations manual covering specs, formats, titling rules and the schedule. What I'm looking for: • Clean editing on dialogue and talking-head content. Pacing and audio matter far more than motion graphics. • Real judgment about which moments are worth posting • Reliability over speed. Consistent output beats bursts. • English strong enough to write descriptions • Someone who wants to own something long-term Nice to have: experience with a podcast, debate, or livestream clips channel. Familiarity with YouTube Studio and Shorts. Structure: hourly, capped weekly, paid through Upwork. Rate review at 60 days, then every six months. The first 60 days are a trial for both of us, at full rate. I'm hiring one person, not an agency. Team pitches will be skipped. To apply, don't send a generic proposal. Send me: 1. Two examples of long-form talking-head or podcast editing 2. Two vertical shorts you cut from longer content 3. Watch any video on my channel and tell me which 60 seconds you'd cut as a short, and why
