YouTube Editor Needed for Comedy Show Featuring God

We're looking for a skilled freelance video editor to join the post-production team behind The God Pod—a comedy show blending satire, interviews, sketch comedy, and smart political commentary. This is a remote freelance role requiring strong comedic instincts, fast turnaround times, and proficiency with Adobe Premiere. You'll work closely with our production team to prepare polished YouTube content from live show recordings. Responsibilities • Edit 1–2 episodes per week from raw StreamYard recordings • Sync multicam footage and adjust lip sync on animated puppets when needed • Clean and balance audio to maintain clarity and consistent levels • Implement editorial direction regarding pacing, tone, and comedic timing • Add intros, outros, ad breaks, music cues, and other finishing elements as needed • Create one highlight segment (approximately 3–5 minutes) from each episode for YouTube • Export and deliver final assets according to established specifications • Collaborate with the team on notes, revisions, and approvals Turnaround Requirements This role requires rapid turnaround. For each episode, editors should be able to deliver: • One edited episode (typically 30–60 minutes in length) • One 3–5 minute YouTube highlight segment within approximately 1–2 hours of receiving footage. Requirements • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro • Experience with multicam editing and podcast/video post-production • Strong sense of comedic timing and pacing • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality • Familiarity with YouTube content workflows • Ability to take feedback and adjust quickly to creative direction • Access to your own editing software and workstation Nice to Have • Experience editing comedy, political commentary, interview, or livestream content • Familiarity with Adobe Audition • Experience working with animated characters or puppet-based productions Project Details • Freelance / Remote • Less than 6 hours per week • Initial engagement: 1–3 months • Potential for ongoing work • Intermediate experience level If you love comedy, work efficiently under deadline, and know how to find the funniest moments in a conversation, we'd love to hear from you.
