YouTube / Livestream Video Editor (Long and Short Form)

We are looking for an experienced and creative Video Editor / Clipper to help turn our livestream VODs into high-performing, polished YouTube videos and social clips. If you understand the pacing, visual dynamics, and comedic/narrative timing of Ludwig-style YouTube content, you’ll thrive in this role. I’ll handle the live streaming and provide strategically timed, quality content alongside prepared intro assets. Your job is to extract the best stream segments, attach the intro, and apply high-level editing polish to make every video YouTube-ready. Responsibilities Stream Segment Extraction & Stitching: Review long-form Twitch/YouTube VODs, extract key narrative segments, and seamlessly integrate my pre-recorded/prepared intros to anchor each video. Ludwig-Style Polish & Dynamics: Enhance videos using precise keyframe zooms, dynamic pan/scans, sound effects (SFX), background music balancing, and smooth scene transitions to keep retention high. Branding & CTA Engagement: Add custom call-to-action (CTA) nudges, animated subscription overlays, sound-cued visual elements, and strategic B-roll that reinforce our brand identity without disrupting the flow. Short-Form Content Creation: Repurpose the best moments from long-form segments into engaging vertical short-form videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts). Hook Optimization: Craft strong visual/audio hooks within the first 3–5 seconds after the intro to maximize click-through and viewer retention. Consistent Production: Maintain a reliable output of 5 long-form videos per week and 2–3 short-form clips per day, staying ahead of content schedules. Requirements Proven Editing Portfolio: Demonstrated experience editing live-stream VODs, gaming/commentary, or dynamic YouTube content (must provide links). Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro—specifically with keyframing, motion tracking, audio mixing, and rapid pacing. Understanding of YouTube Pacing: Strong grasp of viewer retention mechanics, visual punchlines, zoom techniques, and sound design similar to top-tier creators like Ludwig. Asset Integration: Experience working with pre-made intros, dynamic lower thirds, subscriber pop-ups, and custom graphic overlays. Speed & Reliability: Ability to work efficiently with VOD timestamps and hit regular delivery deadlines. Preferred Skills (Bonus) Experience working directly with streamers, content creators, or digital media brands. Niche Alignment: Interest or familiarity with business, finance, or entrepreneurship content is a huge plus, as it helps inform the timing and style of visual edits. Active knowledge of current internet culture, meme formats, and platform trends.
