YouTube Long-Form Editor — Storytelling, Emotional Pacing & Premium Talking-Head Content
Worldwide
I’m looking for a creative long-form YouTube editor for an ongoing weekly conversation series called Beauty Brains Bubbly Uncorked. This is not a complicated assembly edit. I provide: One clean, continuous take of the full conversation No piecing together multiple takes A detailed editor execution brief Specific spoken-line cues for push-ins, reframing, music, pauses, graphics, and emotional beats Established brand direction and visual references Episodes are generally 10–20 minutes. What I need is an editor who can take that clean footage and elevate it into a polished, emotionally intelligent finished episode. The editing style is warm, restrained, premium, and conversational—not flashy YouTube editing. You should be strong at: Subtle push-ins and reframing Emotional pacing and intentional holds Music placement and volume judgment Clean audio and consistent color On-screen text / editorial “bubble” moments Knowing when to widen, hold, or stay still Recognizing when a frame, transition, movement, or mix is not working—even if I did not explicitly tell you Following a detailed brief accurately without requiring a timestamp for every instruction This role requires editorial judgment. I do not want someone who simply waits for exact software instructions. I want an editor who watches the piece as a whole, understands the emotional intention, catches problems independently, and cares about making the episode better. For example, if music is technically present but too low to register as intentional ambience, I expect you to hear that. If a push-in is supposed to land on a specific spoken line, I expect the movement to support that moment. If the established base frame is too wide, I expect you to protect the correct composition throughout the edit. Budget $250 per completed episode. Please apply only if this rate works for you. This is intended to become consistent weekly work, and I also regularly have higher-budget commercial/UGC editing projects available for editors I trust. To Apply Please send: Two examples of your strongest long-form talking-head, podcast, interview, or storytelling edits. Tell me briefly what you personally contributed creatively to one of those edits. I want to understand your judgment, not just see the final product. Your editing software. Your typical turnaround time for a 10–20 minute episode. Confirm that $250 per episode works for you. Please begin your proposal with the words: “I edit the story, not just the timeline.” Applications that do not include that sentence will not be reviewed. Paid Test Finalists will be given a paid 3–5 minute test edit using actual footage and a section of the real editor brief. I am specifically looking for someone who can read the brief, execute the stated direction accurately, and then bring their own taste and professional judgment to the edit. This is a long-term opportunity for the right person.
