YouTube Script Writer- retro movie/TV show
Worldwide
Summary We make long-form YouTube videos about classic movies and TV shows — the cast, the production, and the strange and weird things that happened behind the camera that almost nobody knows. Think Steel Magnolias, The Twilight Zone, The Andy Griffith Show, Jaws, M*A*S*H. Our audience is 45+, they grew up with this stuff, and they will absolutely catch you if you get a detail wrong. The format is a countdown: 15 facts, numbered 15 down to 1, built around archival clips. What we need A writer who can research and write like a storyteller. Yo will be given inspiration, but you will also need to research and find clever strange and weird lesser known facts to give to people who grew up on this content. The spec 3,600–4,200 words per script (this becomes a 22–25 minute video) 15 facts, counted down from 15 to 1 Cold open with an archival clip, then a nostalgic hook that names the show/film, the premise, and the main cast Early CTA + a tease for the #1 fact Each fact runs roughly 220–300 words with its own headline, its own story arc, and a closing "button" line that lands it Mid-roll CTA around fact #8, written to feel like a natural pause, not an ad read #1 is the emotional payoff, not just the biggest fact. It should be the thing the audience quotes in the comments. Outro: recap, comment prompt, subscribe, channel sign-off Written for the ear. Second person, conversational, warm, a little wry.
