YouTube Video Editor & Growth Strategist for Personal Brand Channel

Category: Video Editing Job Type: Hourly, ongoing Rate: $55–$75/hr (based on experience) Estimated Hours: ~10–15 hrs/month to start (2 long-form videos/month), with room to grow Job Description We're looking for an experienced YouTube video editor to work on Lacy Phillips' personal YouTube channel. This is a strategic editing role, not just a cutting job, we need someone who understands what actually makes YouTube content perform, not just how to edit it. What you'll be doing: - Edit 2 long-form videos per month (Personal vlog content) - Optimize video titles, descriptions, and tags for YouTube SEO - Design or guide the creation of thumbnails that drive click-through - Structure hooks and pacing in the first 15–30 seconds to maximize retention - Advise on what's working/not working based on - YouTube algorithm trends and channel analytics - Collaborate with our team on content strategy as the channel grows What we're looking for: Proven experience editing specifically for YouTube (not just general video editing). Please share channel examples you've worked on, ideally with growth metrics - Strong understanding of YouTube SEO, algorithm behavior, audience retention curves, and CTR optimization - Skilled in thumbnail design and title testing/hook writing - Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar - Comfortable working independently, hitting monthly deadlines, and giving strategic input, not just executing a brief - Experience with personal brand / creator / coaching / personal development content is a plus Why this role: This starts at 2 videos/month but there's real room to grow.
