YouTube Video Editor for Business Documentary / Operator Series
Worldwide
I’m looking for a long-term YouTube video editor to help produce a recurring business documentary series called Operator Log. The series follows the real decisions, experiments, numbers, mistakes, and growth of my business, Atlanta Body Sculpt. This is not a typical talking-head editing job and not a flashy TikTok-style channel. The format is closer to: business documentary + operating journal I’ll provide a very detailed production brief for each episode, including: finished narration/script HeyGen host/avatar footage exact visual direction by section screenshots and real business data photos/video from the business text overlays and graphics needed privacy/blurring instructions overall pacing and storytelling guidance You will not be expected to figure out the business story from scratch. Your job is to take those assets and bring the vision to life. Typical Episode Approximately 8–12 minutes. The host may be on screen for part of the episode, but the video should regularly cut to: real business screenshots dashboards schedules ads charts/numbers simple motion graphics business B-roll visual explanations title cards documentary-style text moments The goal is for viewers to feel like they’re watching a real operator open his business notebook and show the receipts — not an AI avatar reading a script for 10 minutes. Editing Style Clean, modern, intelligent and understated. I do NOT want: excessive zooms meme clips random stock footage cheesy success graphics fake AI clients huge TikTok captions constant sound effects over-editing every sentence I prefer editors who understand when to add a visual and when to simply let the host speak. Real business evidence should always be prioritized over generic B-roll. Important Skills You should be comfortable with: YouTube long-form editing strong pacing and storytelling clean motion graphics animated numbers/data screenshots and screen recordings masking/blurring sensitive information captions/subtitles music and light sound design working from a detailed production brief creating reusable templates for an ongoing series Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut Desktop or a similar professional workflow is fine. First Paid Test I do not want applicants to edit a full episode for free. For the first test, I’ll provide approximately 60–90 seconds from Episode #1 along with the production instructions and assets. You’ll be paid $25 for the test. The opening includes a business experiment where: 7 consultations were booked 3 clients no-showed 4 showed $747 was collected $0 in packages were sold The challenge is turning that into a compelling documentary-style opening using the host footage, animated numbers, real business assets, music, and clean graphics. If the style is a fit, I’m looking for someone who can potentially edit one episode per week long term. If interested, please include the word SNATCHED in your response. Any submission that does not include this will automatically be deleted. DO NOT email, DM, or call me. Anyone who does that will automatically be rejected. Thanks!
