Archival B&W gets a warm sepia duotone, not flat gray. **Pacing** — 3-5 second average shot. Nothing holds past 12s unless text is animating on it. Cuts speed up at reveals. **Transitions** — hard cut by default (~70%). Dissolves for time jumps only. Glitch transitions capped at ~6 per video. **Motion graphics you build yourself** — chapter cards, animated timelines, pull-quote cards with keywords highlighted in yellow/orange/red, circle callouts on people inside crowded photos, lower thirds and date stamps. **Movement** — Ken Burns on every still, 2.5D parallax on key images (subject masked onto its own layer), punch-ins on beat. **Finish** — film grain, vignette, light leaks on archival. Blurred background fill for off-ratio images; never force-crop a 4:3 photo and cut off heads. **Audio** — music drops to silence before key lines. Foley layered under the music: shutters, crowd murmur, room tone. A visual re-hook every 30-60 seconds. ## Requirements - After Effects or equivalent.
