Youtube video editor bodycam / crime

YouTube Bodycam Video Editor / Producer — Inspector D I’m building Inspector D, a YouTube channel focused on real police bodycam footage and the stories behind the incidents. I’m looking for an editor/producer who understands the style of channels like Inspector Ted. You will be responsible for taking a case and turning it into a complete YouTube video. Your responsibilities: • Write the script • Create a strong hook • Provide/record the voiceover • Select the best bodycam footage • Edit the full video • Make clean, good cuts • Remove unnecessary/dead footage • Keep the pacing engaging • Add captions throughout the ENTIRE video • Add simple zooms/text when needed • Use light music and sound effects when appropriate • Create the YouTube thumbnail • Deliver the finished video ready to upload Editing Style I want simple, clean, and effective editing. The bodycam footage should be the main focus. Think: Strong hook → short voiceover → bodycam footage → good cuts → short voiceover when needed → back to the footage. I do NOT want crazy effects, excessive transitions, or over-editing. Good cuts, pacing, storytelling, and a strong hook are much more important. Captions are REQUIRED throughout the entire video and need to be accurate, synced, and easy to read. Videos will generally be around 8–15 minutes. Pay $50 per completed video. The first project will be a paid trial at the same $50 rate. If the work is consistently good, there is potential for more videos, higher pay, bonuses, and long-term work. Ideal Candidate • YouTube editing experience • Strong understanding of retention • Good storytelling and pacing • Excellent cutting skills • Experience with bodycam/police/true crime content is a major plus • Can write scripts • Can create strong thumbnails • Can work independently and meet deadlines If you have worked on channels similar to Inspector Ted, please mention it.
