We are seeking an experienced Counsel to manage legal process and regulatory matters involving our telecommunications operations. The attorney will be responsible for reviewing, responding to, and coordinating subpoenas, search warrants, court orders, preservation requests, and other legal demands receive. Key Responsibilities Legal Process Management Review and evaluate subpoenas, search warrants, court orders, preservation requests, and other legal process served. Determine the validity, scope, jurisdiction, and enforceability of legal demands. Identify whether the legal process is properly directed Determine what records and information is legally required or permitted to disclose. Identify overbroad, defective, ambiguous, or improperly issued legal process and recommend appropriate responses. Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, courts, and authorized government representatives when clarification or additional documentation is required. Drafting Responses Prepare professional written responses to subpoenas, search warrants, court orders, and other legal requests. Draft objections, requests for clarification, deficiency notices, partial-compliance responses, and notices of inability to produce records where appropriate. Prepare affidavits, declarations, certifications, custodian statements, and other supporting legal documentation. Review production materials for responsiveness, relevance, confidentiality, and legal compliance before release. Law Enforcement & Regulatory Coordination Serve as a primary legal point of contact for law enforcement and government agencies concerning legal process. Establish and maintain standardized procedures for receiving, validating, tracking, and responding to government requests. Monitor applicable federal and state laws and regulations affecting legal process and disclosure obligations. Advise management on emerging regulatory requirements Internal Compliance Maintain a centralized legal-process tracking system, including deadlines, status, requesting agency, legal authority, and response history. Establish appropriate escalation procedures for urgent matters such as emergency requests, imminent deadlines, and search warrants. Ensure confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately throughout the legal-process lifecycle.
