I am seeking an experienced USPTO-registered patent attorney or patent agent to review an existing provisional patent application and assist with preparation and filing of a U.S. nonprovisional utility patent application. The invention relates to a personal-care/shaving formulation involving polysaccharide chemistry and specific performance characteristics. The provisional application has already been filed. I am looking for a practitioner who can do more than simply convert the provisional into a nonprovisional. I want someone who can evaluate the existing disclosure, identify potential weaknesses or gaps, and develop a strong, commercially meaningful claim strategy. Preferred qualifications include: Active USPTO registration as a patent attorney or patent agent Strong background in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, polymers, cosmetics, or formulation science Experience drafting and prosecuting formulation, composition-of-matter, or chemical patents Experience preparing nonprovisional applications claiming priority to provisional applications. Ability to advise on claim strategy, prior art, alternative embodiments, concentration ranges, methods of use, and supporting experimental data Experience responding to USPTO Office Actions The initial engagement will include review of the existing provisional application and recommendations for strengthening the eventual nonprovisional application. I would then like a fixed-fee proposal for preparation and filing of the nonprovisional application.
