Here are some FAQs, but feel free to reach out to me if you have any additional questions: * There is always a possibility for record labels to sue you for your song having a sample from their song. It can be only a snippet or a full 8-bar loop, it does not matter because they are greedy and they will find you if they want to. However, there are songs that are so old the contract with the artist and the label expired and they now fall in the Public Domain, so they are free to sample. Unless you explicitly tell me to sample a specific song, I will always make my own samples and use them for your song. ** 44.1 kHz is for distributing to streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music etc. 48 kHz is for films or videos. Unless you specify that you have a special request, I will always send a WAV file with the sample rate set accordingly for your purposes. *** Stems are separate audio tracks for each individual sound in a song. They are useful if you plan on processing them further or using only a portion of the song. **** An Exclusive license for a song means that no one else but you can have it and only you are allowed to distribute the song. While you have unlimited usage over the song (streams, sales of physical copies, number of music videos, etc.), I am still the sole owner of it and retain the original copyright. This agreement is more expensive and I do 50/50 profit splits with this kind of deal, but I am open for negotiations. - A Non-exclusive with unlimited rights license means that you have unlimited usage over the song, but I can still sell it to other people and they too can distribute it. - The license agreements refer only to songs without vocals (beats/instrumentals). I won't sell your song with your vocals to other people. - All guitar session work is non-exclusive.
